Beacon Hill

My mom was only at this facility a short time when she had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. I went to the hospital to care for my mom first and when I returned to Beacon Hill to retrieve my mom’s belongings, just a few hours later, they had boxed up everything in her room and took the box to a locked office. Almost everything. In this effort they “misplaced” my mom’s purse. I have called everyday for the past 5 days trying to talk to someone in charge in an attempt to have them find her purse - maybe someone locked it away for safe keeping. Each call the receptionist attempts to get the manager of housekeeping on the phone to talk with me but this person is alway either on break or at lunch. Yesterday I tried to talk with the director and surprise - he to was on break. Unfortunately, my mom has passed away and now I am left to attend matters and help my dad get accounts in order. I don’t have a picture ID, SS card, or credit card to help me in these matters. Not to mention - it’s my mom’s belongings and there might have been something in her purse or just her purse that would be nice to have now that she’s gone.

I broke my back 3/17/24 and have been in the hospital or rehab since 4/09/24, with the exception of 2 days. My final release date is 8/20/24. YAY!!! I couldn't have asked for better people at Beacon Hill. From the Administration, OT/PT, Nurses, Techs, Activities, Housekeepers, Dietary, Kitchen, Laundry, Servers, we were ALWAYS in communication, especially on my bad days. I have made lifelong bonds. The residents are an awesome mix of cultures. When I have my knee replacement next year, I will definitely go back! Love y'all! Trudy
