I was very fortunate to come to Baylor for my physical therapy after a leg amputation. Everyone has been fantastic. My PT Taylor Harris has been the best for my recovery. She has helped me strneghten my legs and other muscles, encouraged me and helped me learn to walk again after 8 months confined to a wheelchair. She also helped my prosthetic team with creating a better leg for my comfort.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. My significant other was at this inpatient rehab for less than 24 hours and has already had to be admitted to the ER at another hospital. The therapists are amazing but everything else was horrible. The nurses don’t respond quickly when a patient is in need of help, whether that be assistance in going to the bathroom or needing pain medication. And the patient techs have bad attitudes. The nurse did not take my concern for my partners extreme pain seriously enough to escalate it to a doctor until after he’d had a fever the entire day. After sleeping there with my partner for ONE NIGHT I woke up with bug bites across my body. They just shove patients in a room to suffer. The rooms are very small and outdated. HEED MY WARNING, PICK ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.

I really don't know where to start on this place. One thing that I can say, if it wasn't for the therapists this place would have nothing going for it. The administration is a complete joke. 75% of the nurses could care less and there is a serious communication issue. Cases managers manage absolutely nothing. Day before I leave and there are no referrals for the outpatient doctors that I am supposed to see or prescriptions for therapy or medication that this place put me on. "Your physician, has already left for the day. With your discharge being tomorrow I do not know if this will be completed in time, and you may need your PCP to complete it." .....is this really an appropriate response? There have to better places. If you can, avoid this place like the plague!

The people that work here are absolutely the best. They have done so much for my husband in his recovery from a spinal cord injury. He has a long way to go, but they have helped him tremendously. Highly recommend.

If it wasn’t for the help I received from the therapist’s, my quality of life would have been altered in a very devistated way.

Great facility with great staff. They really helped me become more independent while managing my injury. Only had one issue with one nurse, but she was immediately removed from my care and it was smooth sailing from then on. PT, OT, and Doctors are all great. They really care and challenge you to meet your goals. Would recommend for rehabilitation services.

I feel like the occupational therapist and physical therapist shows concern for my well being of being able to perform some everyday task with no help to minimum help. I am feeling more confident in my progress to perform task on my own. The help I receive to make me stronger has given me more hope to longevity for my life and adapting more to my life changed situation.

The doctors are great! The therapists have helped my husband so much. There are some really great nurses and techs on the 3rd floor, but there's some that really don't care. Thankfully I've been able to stay with my husband the whole time he's been here. He suffered a traumatic brain injury in an automobile accident and for the most part has been unable to express himself enough to tell me everything. I wake up some mornings to find he's been laying in urine soaked bedding for several hours overnight. The food service is terrible. He's supposed to be eating food that is cut into small manageable bites, but they keep sending stuff that looks like pureed baby food and he's starting to turn down parts of his meals because he can't stand the texture and flavor. Sometimes he gets real food, but they always seem to leave things out that we've ordered. Not for lack of having the items like the main part of the meal which could be the chicken, or even because they didn't have the broccoli he requested, but because they're lazy and don't pay attention. I could say I would recommend the place because it has a few decent people, but the bad ones are starting to outweigh that opinion. This morning I caught the housekeeper using the brush she had just used to clean the toilet to "clean" our sinks after it was covered in nasty toilet water. I wanted to throw up!
