I used to wake up with a kink in my neck at least once every 4-6 weeks. After seeking help from various medical professionals, I came to a point where I thought this is just something I’m going to have to learn to live with, “it’s not that bad”. Well, “not that bad” turned to “worse” and it was really frustrating spending time and money trying to fix my problem but not getting a real solution…until I found physical therapist, Dr. Laurel! In just one session, Dr. Laurel identified the source of my problem and provided a solution. She gave me hope that I would not have to adapt to living with a pain in my neck every few weeks. She provided some exercises for me to do at home in an effort to mininize or prevent the occurrence of this happening again, and showed me exactly what I need to do to get out of my pain cycle if it ever comes back. Within 3 days of my initial visit with Dr. Laurel, my neck pain was gone!! And thankfully, it hasn’t returned. Whatever your struggle may be, you don’t have to “just live with it”. I trust Dr. Laurel’s knowledge and expertise and highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. She is worth the investment and so are you! Thank you Dr. Laurel for your kind hearted care and commitment to your patients 😊 you are wonderful!

As an athlete, especially a triathlete, you learn to live with a certain level of discomfort. But when pain starts dictating how much you can train—or even if you can compete—it’s a whole different story. That was my reality for years. I was trapped in this cycle where pain would flare up, I’d ease off training, feel a little better, and then as soon as I pushed hard again, the pain would come back. It wasn’t just frustrating—it was heartbreaking. Then, I came across Dr. Laurel, and everything changed in one session. Yes, one session. It sounds dramatic, but that’s exactly what happened. After just one session, the difference in my hip pain was incredible. I could feel my body moving the way it was supposed to. For the first time in a long time, I had a glimmer of hope that I could break out of this cycle. I can now set ambitious goals and actually believe I have the physical capacity to reach them. I got back the joy of training. I honestly can’t thank Dr. Laurel enough!

I was experiencing foot pain in both feet for a while. It was annoying and frustrating because I was having trouble doing the things I love the most like going to concerts and standing at church. I don’t know why I waited so long. In just one session Dr. Laurel found the problem and gave me a simple and clear solution. She taught me exactly what I needed to do if the pain came back. Now the pain is gone and I can do all the things that bring me joy in life. And the best part is I get to wear my favorite heels again without pain. Dr. Laurel is a wonderful physical therapist. She has a gentle but powerful approach that works real quick. If you want to wear your cute shoes again call her!

I've been lifting weights for a long time and have never had a back injury before. One day I was deadlifting a set near my max and suddenly I felt a pop. Immediately my back started hurting. I could hardly stand up. Every movement hurt. I reached out to Bay Laurel Athletics and luckily they had an appointment available. I was able to do a virtual visit where Dr. Laurel Mines assessed me over video, diagnosed, and guided me very calmly through three exercises that immediately gave me relief. During this whole time, I was in pain, embarrassed, felt vulnerable, and was surrounded by other people at the gym. She reassured me and calmly led me through the exercises. I highly recommend Dr. Laurel for your physical therapy needs. She's no-nonsense, compassionate, and keenly insightful to what you need physically and mentally. Just one session and I got immediate relief and it put me back on track for the sprint triathlon I'm training for.

I tore my rotator cuff last summer. Based on MRI results, I was told by my orthopedist that I would need surgery and physical therapy would not help me. I planned to do the surgery, but I had a huge trepidation. I decided to try Bay Laurel Athletics for PT just in case. If I could give this woman 500 stars I would. After months and months of lost sleep and being unable to raise my arm, I am feeling fantastic. I am forever grateful and highly encourage anyone out there to come to see Laurel. Don't just go to any PT. You will not regret it.

Dr. Laurel is a wonderful physical therapist who really knows her stuff. I had been struggling with lower body mobility for a long time and had heard the same routine stuff from other professionals. Dr. Laurel's profound understanding of the human body allowed her to explain the root cause of my issues and how to address them properly and effectively. Both my performance at the gym as well as my day to day life has improved from the advice and information I received from Dr. Laurel. Her willingness to help is evident during the meetings as she wants to see her patients succeed. If you are in need of physical therapy, I highly recommend Dr. Laurel.

We enrolled our daughter (12) into a 6 week program with Bay Laurel Athletics after months of seeing her struggle with a mental block during her softball games. Our daughter would mentally shut down and not be able to finish games due to her mental state. She met virtually with Laurel (since we are on the East Coast) and set up weekly virtual zoom calls. After the first half the program, we witnessed a shift in her mindset and by the time she completed the program, she was capable of meeting her goals and rise above her mental struggles. During this time, Dr. Laurel was able to equip our daughter with the necessary mental tools she was missing. Without Dr. Laurel’s program, I believe she would still be struggling. We cannot thank her enough for the time she invested as well as the communication. Her flexibility was a big bonus for us. I highly recommend reaching out to Bay Laurel Athletics if your athlete needs guidance or help reaching their goals both on/off the field. We are so glad we did!

Dr. Laurel has first-class expertise on how to relieve pain to help you return to your sport quickly and at a high level, her patient treatment manners made me IMMEDIATELY feel comfortable working with her without question. In one session she immediately diagnosed a lingering issue and recommended a rehab protocol that included strengthening and stretching which has yielded a relief from the pain I've experienced. Without question, there is no other PT provider and coach for me going forward.
