Every time we have had to visit the hospital in Mountain Home, we have had very good care. The nurses were very attentive and did their best to make you comfortable and supply what you need. Doctors and Staff was very caring and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend the services in the emergency room as they have always been quick to get you in and give the care needed. Unlike others I have been to.

I recently had to take a friend into the er because his dr wanted him to go. We arrived at 1230 he was not called back till 4 hours later, but that wasn’t the issue . I left to get ready for a shift at work came back to a lab technician with no badge on giving him options for getting pee and calling him a liar over him not being able to piss in a portable urinal. She even said she was coming back with papers saying he refused medical care. Obviously, she was over stepping and she ended up making him even more upset that he couldn’t pee. I talked with a nice male Dr about the situation and he was very understanding even assisted with options to help my friend. But that lab tech was the utmost worse !!

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Baxter Regional Medical Center that I feel compelled to share. My child was suffering from severe ear pain, so I took her to the hospital urgently. Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be a nightmare. Upon finally seeing the doctor, I was shocked by his lack of compassion and willingness to help. Despite my child clearly being in intense pain, the doctor refused to prescribe any antibiotics or offer pain medication. Instead, he nonchalantly told us that we could wait until the next day to get a prescription filled. His dismissive attitude made it seem like he didn't care about my child's immediate discomfort. We have insurance, so it wasn't a question of cost or trying to get something for free; we simply wanted to alleviate our child’s pain as quickly as possible. The doctor’s refusal to provide immediate relief was both baffling and infuriating. I understand that doctors must be cautious with prescriptions, but in this case, the lack of urgent care was unacceptable. There was an evident need for immediate pain management, and it was grossly ignored. The experience left us feeling helpless and deeply frustrated. Overall, I would strongly advise against choosing Baxter Regional Medical Center for emergency situations, especially if compassionate, timely care is what you’re seeking. Our child's well-being was not a priority to them, and I hope to never find ourselves in such a negligent medical environment again. Terrible hospital and I do not recommend it.

Waited over 9 hours in emergency. Diagnosis was cancer. Only keeping our mom for pain. After 8 hours, i asked "jessica" when did she think a room for her would be available. She gave me such an attitude. Was asking because my mom was needing a drink of water. And maybe some food. However, instead of explaining the situation , she gave me an attitude and called security on me. Never in my 70 years on earth has this happen. I believe "Jessica" needs training how to respectively deal with people who waits hours ,like eight or more, waiting for a room. What's more appalling she called security on me. Thankfully you have a wonderful security staff. Please give "Jessica" the proper training she needs to handle these situations. One final note, "Jessica" supervisor was a God sent. She provided our mom with water and food after being in your hospital for over 8 hours in emergency .

This is the second time my family has been to this hospital and they have no respect for veteran patients. Went for a simple annual breast exam, ended up walking out before the appointment at reception because of the poor attitude and the lack of compassion for my disability. I strongly recommend somewhere else if you have a choice.

I’ve been coming up here continuously since September of 2023 in excruciating pain. Every single time they sent me home with antibiotics and diagnosis was “UTI”. Which okay maybe I have had UTIs but it shouldn’t take multiple trips to the er and multiple rounds of antibiotics every single time. So finally after an ENTIRE YEAR they do the first CT Scan!! Because I wasn’t coming home with another “uti diagnosis” they tell me my Gallbladder is full of stones and has to be removed through outpatient surgery. I finally got an answer after a year. Take your patients more serious and thoroughly check them don’t just send them home after what you think is going on. You’d think if someone has been up there multiple times it’s obvious something other is going on than a “UTI”. I’ll give a 2 though because the nurses an stuff were nice. Anyway finally maybe some light at the end of the tunnel for me.. a whole year of UTIs, and gallbladder issues took them this long to figure it out. Whoever reads this imagine being in the same pain for a year. Do better Baxter AGAIN CHECK YOUR PATIENTS THOROUGHLY!!!!
