If I could give L&D zero stars I would. Thats all thanks to the nurses. Never would I ever recommend a pregnant woman to be “cared” at Bassett. To sum it up, I was completed blown off by the nurse and neglected during labor. I was left in the triage room and delivered my baby without medical staff.

I have had nothing but issues with this hospital since being up here. My concerns are dismissed each time I present them, I have been misdiagnosed multiple times, and the patient portal interactions are usually very rude. I am to the point where I would rather be in pain than have another dismissive or rude interaction.
I went to the ER for an allergic reaction to shellfish, I have never had one before so was in quite a panic. The gentleman at the check-in desk was absolutely incredible. Within seconds of knowing what was going on he was walking me over to a wheel chair, making sure I was comfortable, and got me into a room with a nurse within minutes. The nurses were some of the best I have ever experienced. It instantly felt like I was in the room with two good friends taking care of me. Dr. Stout was phenomenal in explaining what was going on, what I needed to know, and making sure I was comfy and well cared for. For being such a scary situation, I got the absolute dream team that night. It seems people are more likely to come on here and tell their bad stories than their good ones, so here’s a good one for you. Not all stories are bad ones! The whole team was absolutely amazing.
Went to be seen at ER because i couldn’t get to PCM on a holiday after symptoms of chills fever dizziness feignting, and unproductive cough, they didn’t even so much as take a temperature and then dismissed me as having allergies, one of the most useless experiences I’ve ever had from a healthcare facility
To the patient advocate who saw me in 2014, you saved my life. I'm sry for vomiting in your trashcan. Thanks.
Was sitting in the ER for hours with an infected knee, multiple people came in after me and got in before me, including someone with an injury almost exactly like mine. No one came to get me
Was treated promptly and professionally by kind and good humored staff.
I just had a baby here. I had a very easy pregnancy. So, all the checkups were quick. My delivery was difficult though. I have a stubborn body that needed to be induced. The labor and delivery staff did everything they could think of to progress me into labor. Finally it worked. Sadly, my epidural did not take fully in my uterus. They did their best and helped me manage the pain. We were discharged in a timely manner and with everything we needed.
