Josh is just great. I am a Nurse Practitioner and understand the importance of an accurate evaluation and development of an appropriate plan, by an any member of the healthcare team. Josh does so in a manner that far exceeds competence. He listens intently and does a thorough and appropriate physical examination. I have a clear understanding of his plan, which is well aligned with my goals of aggressive physical activity and training, without causing injury.

If you’re looking for a great Physical Therapy team, I urge you to reach out to BaseCamp Physical Therapy. My hip arthritis progressed to the point of not only daily discomfort but the pain started to impact my overall quality of life. I’d seen two other PT’s over the years but had limited results at best. BaseCamp changed everything for me. The hour long sessions where your the only client means you receive 100% of the teams attention resulting in an exceptional level of communication and care. That coupled with their excellent subject matter expertise will move you in the right direction. It did for me. After two month of work with the team I was back surfing again, having taken nine month off due to pain. I can hike and do day to day things now that caused so much discomfort before. If you commit to BaseCamp (and do the homework exercises) I bet your outcome will be like mine which is a life changer.

I've had an awesome experience at BaseCamp Physical Therapy and have never felt better after working with Josh for the past couple of months. I first came to BaseCamp to help with an injury that was negatively impacting my running. Before BaseCamp, I spent over a year pushing through the injury, unable to fix it, because I didn't understand what the issue was. After a couple of sessions with Josh, we were able to determine my injury was not a hamstring injury as I believed, and were then able to treat it differently and successfully. Now I'm back to running ultras and sprinting pain free - I had forgotten what that felt like and I'm so thankful to feel super strong. Now I get to work with Josh to improve upon my muscle weaknesses, form, and become a better runner overall. I would definitely recommend BaseCamp to anyone looking to improve their performance or finally fix that injury or pain they've been ignoring. If you're in Sonoma County or Bay Area and looking for a sports physical therapist, check them out. They have a great set up with all necessary equipment, tools, etc. and the sessions are always a fun time!

I am an endurance athlete and injured my knee at the end of the off-season just as I was prepping to begin ramping up training for a 70 km swimrun. I knew I needed to get my knee (and legs and shoulder and core) strong and am so glad I found BaseCamp PT! Josh helped identify my weaknesses and focused training to build strength and stability, exactly what I needed. Just 7 months later I competed in the biggest race I've ever done and had no knee or hip pain. I highly recommend Josh and Basecamp if you're focused on getting back to whatever activities bring you joy.

The Basecamp PT clinic has a welcoming environment thanks to both Josh and Nick. I recently worked with Josh for my knee issue, and he provided me with some really insightful information that not only helped improve my immediate problem but also set me on the right path for appropriate training as a runner. He conducts a thorough analysis and health evaluation to ensure his investigative work gives him a clear picture of the root cause of the issue I presented with. He put me through some movement, strength, and other tests that were challenging but highly beneficial because we were able to determine an appropriate starting point for my care. As a chiropractor, I have been introduced to and worked with many physical therapists, and I can honestly say Josh is brilliant at what he does. I highly recommend him to all athletes, fitness enthusiasts, runners, and those alike.

I went to see Dr. Josh because my right knee was clicking and sore during activity. After a few weeks, it started to get worse. I have never had something like this before, so I knew at this point that random mobility or recovery would not be enough. Instead of chasing things on my own, I sought out professional help. I considered going through my HMO, but I was worried about the length of time to get into see someone and as an active person, I did not want to be told, “Just stop doing the things that cause pain.” I wanted to return to activity better than ever and I knew Dr. Josh from a fitness expo the previous year, appreciated his approach, and booked an appointment. I was able to see him within two weeks. After working with him for a few months, my knee feels much better and I am able to participate fully without limitation or hesitation. As an active individual, I keep getting other minor tweaks to the shoulders, hamstrings, or low back…and Dr. Josh was always able to prioritize areas of higher discomfort and adjust movements to help me get better and back to 100%. Dr. Josh is great at trying things out and making recommendations based upon how I respond, and not just because his own agenda. He was always asking questions on how things felt and was very attentive to observe small changes in movement quality or expressions to help him identify the optimal way forward. I have recommended him to a couple people at our gym and I really appreciate his goal to get back to a high level of performance over the long term while simultaneously reducing pain and discomfort in the short term. Thankfully, I am pain free and given the range of exercises that Dr. Josh provided during our sessions, I hope to stay that way. However, if something comes up, I am confident that if I needed a knowledgeable and positive professional, Dr. Josh and Base Camp Physical Therapy are always available to get me in to figure things out.

Our daughter hyperextended for knee in day-to-day activity. She had the same injury the year before and we thought it was "cured" after traditional PT. When the pain came back a year later, we decided to try Base Camp at the suggestion of our pediatrician. We are so glad we did. Nick was amazing working with her and giving her activities that were reasonable to do at home. He kept it light hearted and fun. She looked forward to her appointments. The end result is that her "bad" knee is now stronger than the "good" one and she is setup for success. I wouldn't hesitate to take another family member to Base Camp.

Nick at Basecamp was an essential part of my healing journey to recover from a herniated disc in my lumbar spine and associated sciatica symptoms. I loved that Nick helped me address not only the physical resolution of the issue, but also the emotional and neuromuscular side. I learned SO much from my time with him and I am now well on my way to a full recovery. And, I feel better prepped and stronger for the future to prevent this from happening again, and if it does, I have the tools and knowledge to recover again. I also love that the Basecamp team did not pressure me to become a “forever” patient. They estimated how many sessions we should budget for, and they were right on the money. They wanted to see me heal and get back to my normal life, stronger and no longer in need of physical therapy visits. I’m SO glad I came here!
