We moved up here two years ago and its always a bit of a struggle to find a primary care doctor who you feel comfortable with and trust. We absolutely love Dr. Martin! He is thoughtful, he listens, and he really cares about his patients. We left an amazing primary care doctor and I didn't think we'd be able to find anyone better ever again. Not so, Dr. Martin checks all the boxes. His office staff are excellent as well. If you can get Dr. Martin as your primary care doctor you will get the quality care that you deserve.

I have been to so many doctors in my life, and had 5 different GP's this year due to some health concerns. I was referred to Alpine Family Practice and cannot express how impressed I am with the clinic and especially Dr. Martin. This was my first experience in over a year of serious medical confers where I can a GP actually review all my records, make thoughtful considerations, offer logical treatment including diet changes and offer more in depth testing. Besides having a great bedside manner and being very easy to talk to.If I had to try to find complaint, it could only be one of the front desk staff didn't seem very friendly. Certainly no reason to complain. I will be bringing my whole family here form now on.

Wow called here for an apt. Never even walked in the door, so this is for the woman who answered the phone. Before I even said what kindof insurance I had I was told they don’t take Medicare or hmo’s. What an assumption! Even after I told her I had a pop, The fem person who answered the phone had such an attitude! Honestly after 3 mins on the phone with this staff, I wouldn’t want to come here anyway. Shockingly bad, how does anyone in that office tolerate that woman’s attitude with paying customers? In a small town how does this place stay open? Unbelievable

The staff in this office are rude and cold and completely unprofessional. Monica and other gal that answers the phone need and attitude adjustment. Ladies if you're not happy with your jobs or your employers you really shouldn't be in the medical field with your unpleasant and rude mouths. If I was your employer I would terminate you for hostile attitudes and unprofessional tones.

Went in to hopefully acquire a new doctor for myself after living in Tahoe for several years and avoiding the responsibility. Anyways, wanted a checkup done, a couple other tests etc. I was not sure if they were out of my health insurance network or not, I told them i'd pay the difference this visit, just to let me know via phone call or email. I was very clear with these directions. Sure enough they are out of network, and never let me know... Health bill went to my parents whom Im still under. Months later. I assumed they had been in network as they made no communication attempt. The problem is I had scheduled another appointment to have my elbow looked at during this time. Luckily, I was less than 10 minutes late to my appointment and they were too busy to schedule me in that day (laughable), after already having to wait several weeks for this appointment. Moreover they do not have an MRI machine or the other proper equipment to properly examine it. They would simply be writing an order for me to go to Barton for tests, which I had discussed with them on the phone. They pretty much told me to come in and get pointlessly analyzed so they could bill me for getting looked at. And then couldn't fit me in to the schedule. Not to mention, the doctor who I visited was cold and made no attempt to be personable. It was simply weak. I don't think she smiled once. Way to attempt to build a relationship with a potential client. Never re-scheduled for my elbow. Nothing like avoiding robbery. Intentional or not, I wasn't impressed by the medical staff either.

Absolutely the best clinic and care. One of the front desk staff is a little gruff, but not horrible. The medical staff is the best in the area, always looking at holistic care.

Attending this practice for my son for an asthma appointment and I was running a few minutes behind due to traffic and called before the scheduled appt out of courtesy to let them know. We arrived THREE minutes late. Three. And they wouldn't take us and said we needed to reschedule. They were rude and condescending. Construction on 50 wouldn't let us make a left turn onto 4th street so we had to Circle around at the Y. They said ALL local people know there is traffic. We moved here in October, so I guess I was just supposed to know. 3 minutes. And now my son can't be seen. We have waited in that waiting room on different appointments on average 20+ minutes. The fact they wouldn't see my 10 year old son for a 3 minute delay is heartbreaking. So disappointed. And disgusted.

Dr. Monroe has been my primary care doctor since I moved to South Lake Tahoe. She is amazing and I highly recommend her!
