My wife had a bad problem with her knee surgery pain, our doctor was the best. Had to go to rehab for this. The care from all hear is outstanding. I would recommend anyone needing to go to rehab to come here. 5 stars for Bakersfield Post Acute.

My Mom is a resident at this facility and I've been impressed by the care and empathy of the staff. It's not an easy thing, being here, but I do think that most of the folks that work here try to make it easier. Sometimes it can feel a little chaotic, but I credit that to the occasional staffing shortage. Overall, I am thankful for the competent staff, clean environment and most importantly kindness shown. Would recommend.

My husband was not there 6 hours and nothing. He came from MAJOR UNUSUAL HEART surgery. They couldn't even give him a urinal to pee. Nevermind they never came to do his PT or give him his medication. Within a 12 hour period he left and came home and went by ambulance to ER. He has pneumonia and if he didn't leave he would have not had a chance. All the staff were at the station blowing us off. If my husband would have stayed there he would be DEAD! They took no care of him in his very fragile state. Highly recommend not to put your loved one here. Totally a disappointment! The pictures on the website are fraud. Doesn't look even close to the facility.

Not a safe place for loved ones. There is discrimination here as well. I would not recommend this place. My loved one experienced a rude CNA who treated him unkindly, broke my heart. You should not treat patients anyway you want. Obviously some staff are not in it for the right reasons and obviously lack training as well as lack of genuine of care for people of color. Poor environment and culture more training needed.

My family member recently received skilled care at Bakersfield Post Acute. Our family visited the facility multiple times a day during this time. I have an understanding of how this facility operates and can provide a fair and honest review. The therapy they received was helpful and productive to their healing. They learned new things during each session and felt motivated to succeed. We encountered several workers deserving recognition for their dedication and care. Deontranay is a CNA who works the knock shift (10 PM - 6 AM). Providing outstanding care during this challenging shift, she checked in on them consistently every night she worked. They spoke highly of Deontranay every morning after she had helped them the night before, praising her exceptional dedication. Aliyah, a nurse at the facility, was professional, and consistently performed her job well. She always checked on them when passing by, even when busy. Last, Sarah was a helpful CNA who was sweet and kind. Nessie (Director of Nursing) and Arlene promptly addressed and corrected our concerns. While the facility may have areas for improvement, I believe they are actively working towards the common goal of supporting and helping families. I do recommend it.

This place is not a skilled nursing facility, meds are not on a schedule staff is rude they ignore call buttons, these people don't like their job imo they are there for a pay check. I had other patients in my room at 6am I was sleeping they were waking me up cussing me out when I simply said ladies in sleeping They don't tell you anything when you get there, they have zero protocol or scheduling introduction of their services. They prey upon people with no family, then when you decide to leave they try to use fear of your insurance not covering your stay or getting into another facility... Kern family health should dump them

From what I see in the pictures, and activities, this would be a wonderful place to live! I am going to get a tour of this place as soon as I can. I want to come back to Bakersfield, my home town!

My father stayed at Bakersfield Post Acute skilled nursing facility from February 24th, 2024, to March 13th, 2024, and they took wonderful care of him the entire time. Arlene is amazing, she truly goes above and beyond the call of duty. She addressed and took care of my concerns in a timely fashion, with professionalism, and a smile on her face. Thank you, Arlene. All staff I had contact with were friendly, professional, and proficient. Hailey, Antonio, Marcy, Marlos, Maria, and Patrice to name a few. Thank you for taking such good care of my dad!!!
