Important: This is a walk-in clinic - not a place to visit if you want one-on-one, thorough care. My experience: - I was misdiagnosed by the main doctor and then misdiagnosed again by the new doc. The main doctor sirent fewer than five minutes with me during my evaluation, telling me his years of experience allow him to see things instantly. Don’t buy it. - After a handful of sessions with this crew, my pain skyrocketed. I’ve since received a diagnosis from a new PT and symptoms are improving quickly. - The PT assistants are overworked and do not have time to focus on one patient at a time. Patients have to advocate for themselves to get attention. I’m a fit guy who can activate for himself; it was heartbreaking to see an older patient sit around in a wheelchair, frustrated, without anyone being with him. - The assistants each provide different guidance for the exercises, so as the assistants are walking around the clinic, on multiple occasions, I received conflicting guidance within just a few minutes. - This PT charges $20 for “manual therapy”, claiming it isn’t covered by insurance. Every other PT I’ve worked with in LA has always included manual as a part of standard treatment. I’m not an insurance expert… Check with your insurance before signing the paperwork that states you’ll pay extra for this. - Despite having far too high of a patient load, the assistants are kind and are doing their best with (in my opinion) the unreasonable demands put on them. All in all, I recommend going elsewhere for healing support unless you’re just looking to work out.

I am an injured worker who was severely totaled on the job in 1989. Throughout the last 30+ years I have suffered injury cemented on top of injury. As a result, I have participated in numerous physical therapy programs. None of those programs can compete with the quality and expertise that I have found with Dr. Slava Shut and his entire team at Back 2 Health Physical Therapy - Ventura.
PHYSICAL THERAPY REVIEW LETTER 17227 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316 T: 818 - 990 -9930 F: 866 - 897 - 8508 Dear Dr. Slava, I recently had the pleasure of working with Dr. Slava at Back 2 Health Physical Therapy for a specific condition. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional, making the entire experience comfortable. Dr. Slava possesses extensive knowledge and expertise. They dedicated time to comprehensively evaluate my condition and created a tailored treatment plan that addressed my individual requirements. During the sessions, they demonstrated patience, provided encouragement, and were consistently available to address any inquiries I had. What impressed me the most was their attention to detail and genuine concern for my progress. Each session was productive, and I could see significant improvements in my specific condition because of their guidance and exercises. The clinic is well-equipped, clean, and follows all safety protocols, which made me feel safe and confident during my visits. The appointments were always on time, and the scheduling process was smooth and flexible. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Slava to anyone in need of physical therapy. Their expertise, dedication, and compassionate care made a significant difference in my recovery. I am truly grateful for their help and support. Thank you, Dr. Slava for all that you have done.
I had a long history of going to many different physical therapy facilities and for the first time I found a real help at Back to Health in Encino! Dr. Slava is a miracle worker and the whole team is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. They are truly doing everything to help and it's making a noticeable difference for better. The best possible experience and I wish all the other places would care for their patients as much as Dr. Slava and all the stuff there!
Dr Slava is absolutely a wonderful expert in his field. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Slava’s PT office. They are super thorough, helpful and knowledgeable!
I love Back 2 Health! Staff are friendly, kind, and eager to help you on your journey to recovery. Physical therapy sessions do take a while (around 2 hours) and their opening hours can make it challenging to fit into your schedule, but making PT a priority for your health is so worth the hassle. Staff speak Farsi, Spanish, and Russian, and do their best to accommodate you if you have time constraints. The gym can get crowded at times, but it has a nice, community feel to it - if you go at the same times, you get to know "the regulars." Overall, a great place to go for physical therapy!
Vladislav Shut was the worst therapist I've ever seen! He show up in the exam room almost an hour late to assess my daughter, he was rude as ever he never introduced himself he then asks “what was wrong,” so as the parent I began to speak he rudely said "I'm not talking to you." He made my daughter so uncomfortable by starting the session with his rude aggressive tone. I believe he took this tone because I asked the office lady how much longer before he would come into the room she clearly said something to him about how irritated I was for waiting so long. He had the audacity to ask me to schedule my next appointment at the front desk. I would never return let alone recommend this place.
I'm a bit disappointed due to the fact that I have 1 last visit and they are giving me a hard time to complete it. I ended up getting covid and couldn't make my last visit my insurance approved an exception/ extention the office person keeps saying she doesn't have it yet it was faxed there 3 times and to my attorney yet the girl keeps saying I'm canceling my appointments. NO THEY KEEP DECLINING MY LAST VISIT. Also my schedule doesn't always fit their odd hours. Like last Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday they were closed. Today they closed at 3 PM. They should look at the patients files with more care. Now I'll have to have my attorney call the owner. I have attended all my visits except for the last one. I'm rating them from a 5 to a 2 also due to the girl I just spoke with who was in a hurry to leave at 3PM. She was RUDE! it would have taken her 2 minutes to pull up my file and let me come in on Thursday. Also I like to add that the first time the doctor gave me my massage after my first treatment he went a bit to high under my shorts. I felt uncomfortable I was shocked and spoke with my best friend about it. I don't want him to do my final massage. The staff is fine to do so it. My next 6 sessions will be done elsewhere. It's sad to have a great staff but 1 girl who made me feel that I was bothering her because she had to leave at 3PM she made a bad impression on the entire office staff. This is the Encino facility.
