B3 Certified Hand and Occupational Therapy

Sometimes bad things happen and accidents occur, some such event happened to me in January of 2023 and I found myself in a terrible situation where my flexor tendon in my right (dominate) hand was completely severed. I was able to get a end-end re-attachment, instead of the planned tendon transfer from my ring finger while many other miracles guided me find the right people to help with healing. The blessing of finding a certified hand therapist in Boone was surprising to say the least, but the care and compassion I received was well above and beyond what I was expecting. Lori is an amazing healer/hand therapist and has the experience and understanding of many ways to help aid in the recovery process. I spent almost 4 months twice a week working with Lori to regain the use of my right hand, and never once did I doubt that she was the best person to help in this journey. And quite a journey it was, from a completely stiff hand/wrist/thumb to at this point I would say 75% recovered on the primary injury and 90% recovered on the rest of my hand. Lori’s kind and attentive action is what I believe made the biggest difference in my recovery. Thank you Lori! I am so grateful for your constant positive attitude and encouragement. Lori treated me once for a broken and severed thumb and later for balance issues. While being treated for my thumb I discovered that she had an extensive background in lymphodema. She brought me to a point where I am much more stable and confident in my movements now. I can't thank her enough for her sincere intent to help her patients. I strongly recommend her to any patient who needs her very skilled hands.

Lori is an amazing person first and foremost, and she is also an awesome OT! I slipped on the ice and hurt my pinky and she made me a splint that has been helping alleviate my pain. She is also very knowledgeable on different types of treatments (from Europe and Asia) and she really helped with my pain management! She was also highly knowledgeable on the lymphatic system and she helped with my mobility issues/stiffness after just one session. She is also extremely flexible and understanding, 10/10 would recommend!

Lori is an incredibly intelligent and sharp OT and CHT. I have gotten to know Lori not as a client but as a student who was in need of shadowing hours to be able to pursue a masters in OT. She was kind enough to let me observe her in action and taught me things beyond anything I have learned in the classroom. I not only recommend her if you are ever in need of the services she provides but also as a mentor if you are interested in the field of OT!

Absolutely wonderful therapist. Her environment is very clean and inviting. Her therapy techniques have helped me tremendously. She has a world of knowledge on ways to help improve your body.

Amazing! I had no idea what she was doing the whole time, but weirdly enough it worked. I had recently hurt my wrist and Lori made the majority of the discomfort go away. Also, her work helped with the pain in my back and made it easier for me to process information. I took a midterm the next day, and I did not need to read through the questions as many times as normal, and my answers seemed to flow out easier. Lori is amazing, I don't know what she really did, only that it worked.

Lori worked hard to get me to where I am now! She really cares about her patients an very dedicated to her patients makes you feel like you her on patient .

Wow and amazing are the first words that comes to mind. I am simply amazed at my results from the treatment. My body felt renewed. Lori is very knowledgeable and such a great therapist.
