Awakenings Treatment Center

Awakenings was a huge help to me. It really turned things around for the good for me. Every clinician that I interacted with here was very caring and provided an amazing experience that not only helped me heal but also grow as a person. It honestly felt like a family here. I felt so welcomed and comfortable and even after leaving I actually miss them. All the promises they made me were met and the care is excellent here. Im so so grateful for everyone working there and owe them so much thanks and love. Highly suggest to anyone looking for help. They will treat you well and help you heal. ❤️

Absolutely horrendous program in my opinion! Recently, they called the police on me and blatantly lied to them so i could be involuntarily admitted to a psych ward. It is a scheme that uses heavy manipulation tactics and at the end of the day it is a for profit business. They can disguise it as much as they want, but if you possess a healthy number of brain cells, you can see right through it !

I spoke to Melissa on the phone and she made an appointment for me with herself and the owner, Sheri. When i arrived there, they were both waiting for me with a smile. After an extensive walk through of the facility and being introduced to staff I was blown away at the level of care and compassion offered at this beautiful place. These guys really love what they do! It's nice to know that there are real businesses with real human beings who want to help. The use of science and spirituality left me feeling like my heart had found a home. I've been through a lot in my life so I thank you for creating a safe place for people who have lost their way. Thank you and keep up the great work.

Awakenings was the stepping stone on my path to living a happier, more fulfilling life. The struggles I came into the program with became much more manageable with time and I learned many skills which have set met up for success as I have gone back out into the world to achieve what I set out to do. The therapists are amazing, they taught me a lot about myself but really guided me to be able to see how to create positive change in my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better treatment center.

Awakenings has been such a gift in my life. I can honestly say that I would not be here today if it were not for Awakenings and the 5 months I spent there. From the very first consultation call I felt loved and embraced. Becky made the process of starting the program so seamless and gave so much personalized attention to me, taking time out of her day in admissions to counsel me. Lauren, my primary therapist at the time, helped me see the light and wisdom I innately have. She provided a much-needed safe space at a time when I wanted to run out of my body. Shari, with her unique therapeutic style, challenged me to stand up for myself and stopping hurting my body. I appreciate the diversity of approaches that Awakenings provides to its clients. From neurofeedback and breathwork to movement therapy, this program truly takes a holistic approach. The staff and therapists are both competent and compassionate, a rare combination in this world. I believe Awakenings is as warm and genuinely interested in the lives of their clients because the staff have gone through their own demons and understand what it is like to fight to live each day. With the healing they have experienced, they desire to pass it on to others. If I had to do it again, I would go back to Awakenings in a heart beat. As someone who was struggling with self-harm, an eating disorder, and trauma, I came into the program a very scared, traumatized, and struggling young woman. I came out with the tools I needed to tackle what life throws my way. To this day, although it has been 4 years, I still keep in touch with some of the staff because they have made an indelible impact of my life. Thank you Awakenings for saving me, and for showing me I was worth saving.

Going to Awakenings was the best decision I have ever made in my life. The facility, staff, environment, support, structure, counseling, groups the list goes on, is all too wonderful for words. I went there seeking a change, a change in myself, my life, my outlook on life, my behavior, my coping skills and a way to end my chronic relapsing. Awakeings gave me the structure and tools to lead a great life, a life beyond my wildest dreams. Not only was I able to find long term recovery and relief from addiction, but I was able to gain self awareness and motivation for where my life would go next.

This place saved my life and I do not say that lightly. After being in a few programs previously, I researched almost every recovery center there is in California and Awakenings was the one place I wanted to go. From the staff, to the groups, to the Neurofeedback, I felt like they were getting to the roots of my many issues and treating me holistically, not just band-aiding my symptoms. The people I met along my journey will be life-long friends and I could never be more thankful to Awakenings.

Horrible experience for my son. They made false promises to our family about the resources they have available for adults with Autism. They refuse to help my son with his application for the Regional Center and have decided to discharge him with resources for homeless shelters. Please beware that they are all about money and do not care about the patients.
