I have been working with Angie Besel, PT, for rehabbing my right hip, after total hip replacement. Nothing but '10's' for my review. Competence, Compassion, Careful, are skills of this therapist. Plus I felt 'heard' and supported through the ups and downs of rehabbing my hip. Highly recommend Angie Besel!

Both my wife and I have received the best care and attention to recover from our injuries. From the front desk to the multiple therapists we have worked with, there is only utmost professionalism at Avanti Therapy. Jessica Bishop did a thorough evaluation and knows her stuff! We completed a personalized program that was consistent until we reached total recovery. At every session there is constant discussion with Jessica to ascertain what’s being worked on is helping in the recovery. While one does not wish to come back, we know if there is anything we need, Jessica will be able to help!

For better and for worse, I’ve rehabbed at 6 PT places in Boulder. Of them, Avanti is hands-down and by far the best. Sessions are 60 mins., rather than the usual 30 (often less) mins. elsewhere. Professional and responsive reception staff. Clean and well-equipped facility. Experienced and expert PTs. I’ve worked with 3 of them. All of them excellent. The last 3 months, I benefitted greatly from guidance and treatment by Jessica Bishop after a comminuted leg fracture. She’s absolutely superb. Started with a thorough assessment that included an initial gait analysis. Listened attentively and asked insightful questions in the first session, and then throughout the rehab process to target and adapt exercises to my specific conditions. None of them required me to buy stuff, and I got a focused and well-rounded home program. Jessica possesses a vast knowledge of alternatives and suggested those most suited to my scoliosis and other restrictions, larded with nice touches of humor. She was personable, offering encouragement and helpful corrective feedback in a low-key way. I also very much appreciated her careful attention to details and remembering specifics of past sessions. I credit Jessica with gradually almost totally eliminating pain and restoring functionality. I now have a routine of exercises that I can do on my own to address remaining muscular imbalances. It took 6 weeks before I could get on her schedule, but the wait was well worth it.

My husband, daughter and I have been seeing physical therapists at Avanti Therapy for many years. Avanti's therapists are outstanding, professional and friendly and we've always had success with our various treatments. Just prior to COVID, I was seeing Kelly Duda, whose expertise includes detailed knowledge of the hands, for a hand injury. As I was finally healed from that injury, I fell off my bike and injured the same hand. Because it was at the beginning of COVID, Kelly suggested we use Telehealth. Initially, I wasn't quite sure how physical therapy could be handled virtually, but it worked absolutely fine! We met weekly, she assessed my situation both visually and verbally, then she guided me as I massaged the injured areas and then covered exercises with me. Her follow-up was fantastic as she emailed the exercises and also links to needed support materials, hand brace, etc. Kelly is wonderful to work with - very personable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Kelly and Avanti Therapy through Telehealth virtual visits during this time of COVID.

I would hands down recommend Jessica Bishop and Avanti Therapy. I have been going this past year (both before and during the pandemic) for rehab from 2 shoulder surgeries. I credit Jessica wholly with my progress! Between the exercises, soft tissue work, and one-on-one Pilates lessons, I am finally pain free! Thank you Jessica and Avanti Therapy for letting me get back to my work as a violinist!

Bottom line I am now pain free and never think about the issue I was facing (except to tell this story). A couple of months ago I saw my doctor complaining about a tender knee and asked for some physical therapy sessions to fix it before it got worse. At that time I had determined my own PT exercises and figured "I could be doing more harm than good". I started working with Jessica Bishop at Avanti Therapy the next week. Jessica was a perfect match for my knee because she specializes in such stuff and kinda geeks out about it. I think she can talk about that stuff all day long. She gave me the correct knee exercises and more important the what to "look" for in positioning my knee including my back, quads, gluts, core etc. Turns out the body is complex around the knee and it all plays a part in getting healthy. Thank you Jessica!

I was referred to Avanti by an acquaintance. I am very happy I went to see what they could do to help me. I had broken my collarbone and my shoulder was frozen after being immobilized. Laura was amazing! She is a very devoted therapist. At the beginning I wasn't really sure I would ever be able to get full motion of my arm back but with her knowledge and good work along with the exercises she had me do on my own I have full motion again. The people at Avanti and there scheduling system was first rate. Thank you!

My husband had mixed experience here. My husband suffers from S curve scoliosis and was successfully improving his curve using a Schroth physical therapist in NY. We moved to Boulder and immediately lined up appointments with Avanti. The treatment was not as effective. His prior schroth therapist coached him through strenuous core strengthening and breathing exercises coupled with spine elongation in positions specific to his curve, minute movements and breathing for spinal correction. We were excited to continue the work. However Avanti was a disappointment. He would show up paying the $130 an hour ready to work, but although his sessions with Laura started promising, the sessions turned into a quick body assessment and just dry needling time after time, with no correction or muscle/core/breath work. He became disenchanted and stopped attending. Maybe he should have spoken up and said "Hey, this isn't what I'm looking for". He's instead sought out telehealth with his old schroth PT from New York. This is just our experience and I want to leave an honest review. It looks like there are many good reviews on here for knee, hand and other body issues. I don't think the scoliosis services rendered to my husband justified the exorbitant cost per hour.
