Athletico Physical Therapy - Urbandale

I can't say enough good things about Athletico in Urbandale. Starting with the initial phone call. The ladies at the front desk are so helpful and when you walk through the door, they always have a smile for you. And the physical therapists are also friendly, professional and know their jobs very well. I have been to Athletico for three separate health issues. Most recently being my second rotator cuff surgery. Jackson was my physical therapist and he is an amazing therapist. I trust Jackson to know exactly what he is doing. He is so friendly and always willing to listen. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I needed physical therapy. I highly recommend Athletico in Urbandale.

My husband and I have been using Athletico at 8000 Douglas Ave for all our rehab needs. I just finished rehab on my right shoulder. Stephanie will greet you with a smile and a hello. Making you feel comfortable. Jackson and Ryan were the best. So friendly and also experienced. They both have a great sense of humor and kept all the patiences laughing. Always had a good time while exercising. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my rehab. I give these guys 5 Stars ⭐️

This group of physical therapists are amazing. I came in to try and prevent another knee surgery and Jackson Yoder worked very hard to help me achieve that goal. He listened to my concerns and more importantly remembered them. Not only is he great but so are Stephanie, Katie, Caleb, Rose, Renee, and the students they bring in. Everyone is always willing to step in and help their coworker and it’s a fun environment to be in. Thanks for everything!

I've been here several times for various injuries (none major or post-surgery) and will gladly continue. Recently, I visited for persistent and worsening wrist pain and I was placed with Jackson. He was courteous, professional, and most importantly knowledgeable. I left feeling confident with my at-home plan and knowing I could come back at any time if things weren't improving. I highly recommend.

As an overweight man in his seventies, it was inevitable that the old knees would start complaining. My right knee started with a gradual pain, then progressed to the point that I needed a crutch for support. My Doctor recommended I see a Pysical Therapist for a few weeks after the X-rays showed swelling and compartmental osteoarthritis. Prior to this my wife and I were walking 2.5 miles /5 times a week…but now I could barely walk. I was sent to Athletico in Urbandale and was introduced to Jackson. Jackson evaluated my situation and assured me that he could get me back to my walking routine. He proposed one hour of therapy twice a week with daily exercises from home. It was a gradual progress in 4 weeks of therapy but today my wife and I walked about a mile in 20 minutes. Still a ways to go but I can continue the exercises at home and hopefully improve even more…and the only meds I took were a couple of aspirin each day. Many thanks to Jackson for the personalized service and expertise to get this old guy back on track.

I had a great experience at this Athletico. My therapist was Jackson and he made sure that my foot was well taken care of. He was easy to talk to with a great sense of humor. He also answered all my questions even when I had already asked the same question before. The ladies at the front desk are also very polite and it just makes it a fun and pleasant atmosphere.

Athletico is the only place I go for physical therapy. The therapists are very knowledgeable, friendly, and listen to my concerns. I’ve used them 4-5 times in the past 5 years and always feel much better when I’m done with treatment!

The staff here is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Rose is my OT and she is extremely knowledgeable and such a wonderful person to work with! Katie and Jackson have helped me with my PT needs and they are both skilled at what they do and we have fun and interesting conversations during my sessions. Stephanie and Katey at the front desk are always welcoming and helpful! They are understanding and supportive of my ever changing needs. Everyone here has a great sense of humor and they create such a positive and welcoming environment! I’ve never enjoyed therapy more than I have at this office! 12/10- Highly recommended!
