Athletico Physical Therapy - Tucson (Northwest La Cholla)

Rusty and his team at Athletico PT are fabulous! They deliver expert care and get great results for their patients, but also are friendly, have a great way with people and really care about each person's progress. My husband was treated there twice: for a painful shoulder condition that was completely healed and for PT after knee replacement surgery, where he got more range of motion in his knee than we thought would be possible. We wouldn't go anywhere else for PT and recommend them without reservation!

I have had two separate experiences with the La Cholla Athletico staff and I would recommend them highly. Rusty is very careful and knowledgable and Roberto is a great technician and very professional. I am very satisfied with their work: they got me through 3 surgery procedures, including a new knee and they were excellent. Very careful as to your individual issues and make the right decisions on your recovery . Very grateful to have them so close by

I had my rotator cuff repaired and did all my PT with Rusty & Roberto at Athletico NW La Cholla based on a recommendation from my surgeon. Everyone there is so professional and kind, they always take the time to answer all my questions and explain everything to me, and my shoulder is doing great now! I never feel rushed or uncomfortable here. I recommend this team to literally everyone who asks me (and even some who don’t). Thank you for giving me my life back!

I first went to Athletico Physical therapy when I had a sciatica flare up. Rusty had me fixed up and out of pain in no time. Last year I ended up with frozen shoulder and was in so much pain. My ortho referred me to their physical therapist who played phone tag with me. I had my primary care physician send my referral to Athletico and I was promptly scheduled for therapy. I am 9 sessions in with Rusty and Daniel and I am seeing/feeling results. I’m able to finally sleep through the night without excruciating pain. I realize this will take longer to fix and I am thankful for physical therapists that take the time to explain everything and answer my questions. I can’t recommend Athletico enough!!!

Rusty and Roberto are fantastic! They did both pre- and post- surgery therapy and have been a major part of why I have made a full recovery! I call my appointment ‘a massage and forced exercise’, but in all seriousness these guys know what they’re doing and do it really, really well! I’ve had to go to physical therapy for a different body part falling apart, and I made sure it was with them too because I know they have the highest level of care of any therapy group I’ve gone to. If you want to get better, these are the guys to see!

Rusty and team at Athletico are amazing!! I cannot recommend them enough. I started seeing Rusty for Radiculopathy in 2019. I could barely walk, Rusty is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He helped me so much, I was walking again in no time. Because I’m an older horsewoman, I have multiple old injuries that flare up. Rusty and team always find a way to fit me in, get me back on my feet again. I would never see any other physical therapist! I just hope Rusty never leaves Tucson. Highly recommend Rusty and his team at Athletico on LaCholla.

Great physical therapy location on LA Cholla Blvd. Everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly. They gave me the care I needed for both of my knee replacement recoveries. They pushed me hard enough make the gains I needed but not too much that I wasn't able to recover from the session by the end of the next day. I really appreciate all that they did to help me and should I ever need PT again I will return here.
