Athletico Physical Therapy - Surprise (AZ)

I had such a great experience at Athletico! Nick was such a knowledgeable physical therapist and he really listened to my needs and made a plan for me that helped me get back to being an ICU nurse. I’m now living with no pain and I am able to do my job to my full ability. So grateful for this place!

•I also just want to note in here, this is a review. Not a conversation for discussion like the owner commented back on this review, but my own experience with the place. Like I said, great people work here-very nice. But the way my case was treated and cared for I was not happy, and there's not anything to take that back. Just sharing an honest review. Honestly, front desk and PT's were very nice. I will give them that. No complaints there. However, I had a fractured foot of 2.5 months. We did a consultation the first day to see if there was any issues or pain. I stated my pain was at an 0. (& then every other appointment after that the same) [•Also want to note, my foot wasn't at a 0 if I did certain movements or stood certain ways.] Did PT here the first day for maybe an hour. Normal right?! The next two weeks they wanted me to come in for 3 hours at a time 4 days a week. Did bicycle crunches. A arm-bike. Regular crunches. Planks. And lifting above the head, which had NOTHING to do with my actual injuries to my foot. I was pretty furiated by this and so was my doctor. They even had me doing squats on a bosu ball and that about sent my Dr into over-drive. You shouldn't be doing PT on a fractured foot on something like this. Not to mention, I'd come in and they'd have a clipboard of workouts for me to follow w times & a timer and leave me at that. didn't watch over me or help track progress on how certain things felt on my foot. I felt like I didn't get an actual PT experience, more like a boot camp experience. Shouldn't have been 3 hours at a time either. Older people the physical therapists really took their time and spent time with them, which I thought was great but for only 2 physical therapists and sometimes having 2-3 patients at a time was an overkill. I suggest minimizing the work and spending more 1-on-1 time w patients and getting to know their injury's and how certain movements may be effecting them and how YOU can do YOUR JOB to help them. And really focusing on helping a person versus giving them a sheet of workouts that they could easily do at home and letting the patient do it themselves without any help. Overall, just not happy nor impressed with this place. Got their money without helping me. Good for them.

The staff at this location is the BEST!! Always professional, attentive, caring and friendly. Nick is top notch, Jordan always attentive and friendly and Kendall is so sweet and professional. I’ve been to other clinics in Surprise and Athletico is my top choice! I’ll miss coming here.

My first time experience at PT was such a positive one. Nick is an amazing Therapist!!!and his staff is such a great group of individuals friendly, kind and caring. I definitely recommend this place 😍

If I could give a 10 star rating, I would! If you need PT for anything, come HERE. Not only are these folks fun and wonderful to work with, they are fantastic at what they do. After total hip replacement with undesirable results, Nick and his team worked with me 3x/wk for 4 wks. My progress was off the charts in overcoming what was a daunting challenge. The BEST part is they listen, react professionally and take you where you want to be. I cannot endorse them highly enough! THANK you, Nick, Jordan and Kendall! You ARE the BEST.

If you are looking for a physical therapist that will help you reach your goals in a kind and supportive environment Athletico Surprise is that place. Nick and Jordan did an amazing job rehabbing me after my total knee replacement. From the moment Kendall scheduled my sessions I knew the entire staff cared about my progress and listens carefully to my questions and comments. I liked that I didn’t see a different therapist at every visit. Nick closely supervised every step of my care. I highly recommend Athletico Suprise.

The PT Team here is top notch - they push you to do more, hold you accountable and work with you where you are in your healing process. Positive attitudes and compassionate listeners - Kelly, Jordan, and Nick are the best!!

Nick Sapien is terrific! His attention to every patient is outstanding. He showed compassion and a deep understanding of his skills. Kendal has some of the best interpersonal skills I have encountered in ages. She is warm and patient with all of her interactions. I could not be more pleased with the care I received. It never felt like a churn and burn atmosphere.
