Athletico Physical Therapy - Peoria North

This place is absolutely excellent!! If you are on the fence on whether or not you need physical therapy or if it will really help, do yourself a favor and make an appointment here. I really thought I was just going to have to live in pain for the rest of my life. I had tried other places recommended by my ortho doctor and I was seeing little, if any progress. I had a work schedule change so needed to do my appointments at night. Athletico was able to accommodate evening appointments and was covered by my insurance so I thought I would try one more place. Turns out it was the last place I needed. I actually looked forward to my appointments because of the relief I felt after each session and I progressed every week until I was back to my old self. I cannot say enough about Bryon. He is knew exactly what I needed and pushed me just hard enough which translated to improvement and less pain every week. Thank you so much!!

Outstanding. Everyone on staff does their job with competence and supportive enthusiasm. At the front desk, Missy maintains schedules with the efficiency of an air traffic controller. Her willingness to handle snarly insurance and to give cheerful reminders about payments make it a delight to keep appointments. Every PT at Athletico North has a unique set of skills. They are all good at listening with empathy and offering effective solutions for the patient. They are able to provide challenging exercises that target the areas of weakness. Thank you to Samantha, Bryon, Amanda, Leah, and everyone who works to help others reach their potential and improve life.

I was initially referred to Athletico by my urologist. None of the testing showed anything related to the Interstitial Cystitis I am being treated for. I was cynical that pelvic floor physical therapy could help with the pain I was experiencing. After one session with Amanda I was no longer cynical! Amanda was great at explaining things and she made me feel very comfortable. My condition improved greatly, and as I would be dismissed from the pelvic floor therapy soon, Amanda mentioned that I would benefit from therapy to help with symptoms I deal with from Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Amanda introduced me to another therapist, Samantha. Sam began helping me with both balance and stamina. She has challenged me in the best ways. I am so amazed at the improvement in my stamina as well as my balance! I highly recommend Athletico Peoria North and their entire team of therapists. Thank you Amanda, Samantha, Bryon, Trisha, and Leah for all you have done to help me!

I went in for a running gait analysis (my visits were not injury related). Both Bryon and Sam were fantastic! I am training for a multi day Ultra race. Bryon provided analysis on my gait initially, taking his advice on small changes had a noticeable impact (running was easier and my pace increased) in the next few weeks. I worked with Sam on my strength training regiment over several weeks and was able to tweak my current plan to focus on specific exercises that related directly to running support and areas I needed to work on. Overall great experience!

This is my second pregnancy going to Amanda at Athletico Peoria North for pelvic floor help. I highly recommend seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist, and especially Amanda who is amazing, to every pregnant and postpartum mama. It’s made a world of difference in my comfort, health, and recovery! I would never go through pregnancy and postpartum without her!

Bryon, Samantha, and the entire staff were excellent to work with. Came here after being referred due to lower back pain and they were able to quickly address my situation and I have not felt better in years. Highly recommend this location!

The staff is very nice and welcoming. I have Bryon and Samantha as my PT’s and they both work hard to make sure that I am getting better and working hard. You can tell that everyone there is invested in helping you work towards your goals.

This is a wonderful place for PT. I have been a patient for 7 months for pelvic floor therapy and have received top notch care! This facility is patient focused, and very attentive. I would recommend them over and over. I have experience at many other PT facilities over the years, and Athletico North goes above and beyond in comparison! Thank you for such excellence in care!
