Athletico Physical Therapy - Merchandise Mart

I recently went to Athletico at The Mart for physical therapy, and overall, the experience was just okay. The physical therapist I worked with clearly knows his stuff and seems knowledgeable about the exercises and treatments. However, I noticed that he spent a lot of time chatting with other staff members and patients rather than focusing on my session. It sometimes felt like I wasn’t getting the full attention I needed during my therapy. While it’s nice that the environment is friendly and social, I wish the therapist was a bit more focused on my recovery. The facility itself is clean and has all the necessary equipment, but the lack of individual attention left me feeling like my progress wasn’t as good as it could have been. Athletico at The Mart could be a great place if they prioritized patient care over socializing.

I received the best PT here. Ben and Elvis are not only very knowledgeable, possessing expertise in what they’re doing with their clients, but they are “fun” … yes, fun! I love how they interact with each other’s clients. They show a lot of concern and care for their clients during sessions. At each session, they focus not only on the area needing PT but ask questions about other areas that may be affected to getting better. I actually looked forward to going to PT. And it was nice working with the wonderful Gia who mans the front desk & appointments. I will only go to this physical therapy facility!

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with the team at the Merchandise Mart Athletico. I have rehabbed two different injuries there in the last year. Elvis is FANTASTIC. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, dependable, and fun. It is weird to say that I miss going to physical therapy... but I do because of the team at this location.

Everyone at this office was awesome! Elvis was an amazing therapist and got my shoulder back in working (and lifting) condition. You can’t go wrong with either Elvis or Ben as your therapist, and Gia was always friendly at the front desk. Glad to be done with PT but will miss coming to my sessions!

The level of care I received at this Atletico facility is unparalleled. The entire staff is genuinely invested in the well-being of their patients. Upon my arrival with shoulder pain, I felt supported throughout my entire recovery process. My previous experiences at other facilities were not satisfactory, which made me hesitant to seek treatment again; however, I am extremely pleased that I chose to return. Ben and Elvis were both great, and not only have I experienced significant improvement, but the physical therapy also motivated me to embark on my fitness and health journey. I am truly grateful that this location is situated in the Mart and staffed by dedicated professionals. I cannot emphasize enough how crucial it is to visit this facility; you will not be disappointed!

I can't say enough good things about Athletico in the Merchandise Mart. Elvis, the manager and lead physical therapist, has been a true professional, helping me work through a pulled hamstring, limited hip mobility, and lower back tightness after running my first half marathon and re-starting over-30 soccer at the Fire Pitch. Ben, who's new to the team, has also stepped in and been incredibly helpful (certainly a bright future ahead). Gia at the front desk is always on top of scheduling, welcoming me with a smile, and making sure I don't miss an appointment, even if I'm running late. The team has created a warm, relaxed and welcoming environment, striking the perfect balance between clinical professionalism and making me feel comfortable during my treatment. They introduced me to dry needling, which was a first for me, and their approach made the experience easy and effective. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with the therapy tables, yoga mats, and pillows always appearing fresh. They're also flexible with rescheduling, and I've never felt pressured into conversations when my mind is elsewhere or I'm stressed. Overall, this has been an excellent experience, I look forward to my appointments because it's always good vibes in there and I highly recommend this team of PTs. Thanks gang!

Gia was integral in ensuring that I was scheduled out for my appointments to get the best times to match my availability, plan ahead and leverage my insurance benefits (which were thoroughly explained). So grateful for Elvis and Ben! They both treated me over the course of a few months and thanks to their help and expertise I was able to work through injuries and complete the Chicago marathon. I will be back at Athletico Merchandise Mart for any future PT needs. Highly recommend!
