Athletico Physical Therapy - Farmington

I wasn't gonna review but I keep getting a thing to give my feedback so here it is. The people were great, but my therapist was not. I had tendon surgery on my left wrist. Both sides. Lacking 5 days of 2 years prior to this I had a unla shorting surgery on the same arm and now have a metel plate with 7 screws. The first visit she was more focused on how she thinks my brace was improper and how a compression sleeve isn't really the best thing, even after I stated my surgeon and the therapist at the place I had surgery said the brace was ok and if the compression helped the pain then wear it. The brace they gave me was to small so I verified a brace I already owned was ok. Then she was stuck on I need to let her do a scar massage even after I discussed it typically takes around 2 weeks before i can stomach anyone else touching it without getting nauseous, this wasn't my first surgery. I told her I will do them at home. Keep in mind this appointment was the day after I got my cast off. The second and last appointment she again was stuck on I need to let her do this scar massage, I explained again I won't be able to stomach her touching it as I get nauseous but I do it at home and if I cant my mother does. She still decided that wasn't good enough so she proceeds to grab my arm and put a glob of lotion on it, I try to let her do it a little bit but end up telling her after a few seconds I can't do it, so I pull my arm away. She tries again to grab my arm. Again I pull away. She talked to me like she knows what I can handle and I don't. Saying I need to let her do it so I get used to it, and unless she wanna clean up vomit and cut the visit early, i wasn't letting her do it. My mother then steps away for a call and comes back that we have to leave because of a emergency, she then proceeds to try to give me another exercise so me and my mom both are like no we gotta go. I informed my mother I will be cancelling any further appointments and will go somewhere else. I tried to call and couldn't get anyone so I sent a email, never heard back but they surely made sure to send the bill. She did more harm than anything, both days I left in so much pain. She caused me to have more of a set back, and have pain for over a week and yet I have to try to pay them. I got practically a book of exercises for the first visit, barely 24 hours out of the cast, it don't matter if its the world's most simple exercise, you start with a small amount and work up to more. She expected me to do 10 of each around 3 times a day. One of them was 50 2-4 times a day. I didn't bother doing many of them since I had a feeling from the first visit it wasn't gonna last, I was just hopeful I was wrong and was gonna try to discuss it at the second but didn't get the chance

Vicki and Theresa were polite and professional. Therapy went very smoothly I feel great and if I ever need therapy again I would highly recommend them

Vicki is phenomenal, encouraging and makes the therapy fun. Very positive experience, enjoyed my therapy friends. Student Theresa was pleasant and encouraging.

The staff was always pleasant regina was great mike met me where I was in my recovery. And told me what to do and did exactly 6 weeks later and I feel better. Highly recommend this location

I was in horrible pain with limited range of motion. DR. Mike did a awesome job getting my neck, back and shoulder pain under control. My range of motion improved dramatically. My pain level was a constant 7 or 8. The pain has faded dramatically over the last 4 weeks. If you are tired of living in pain...and willing to put in the work, give Athletico a shot. You won't be disappointed Thanks Dr Mike for everything

I had a great experience at the Farmington location! From the minute I walked in, I felt ‘taken care of’. Regina, the office manager, was so friendly and efficient at my first visit and every time I came in. My DPT, Michael, was awesome! I could tell he genuinely cared about healing my injury so I could avoid surgery. He was thorough with his assessment initially and with each visit, which helped me stay positive and on track! We had great conversations as I worked through my therapy sessions, which kept me motivated to do all my exercises there but also at home. The techs, Hannah and Jake were great too, they kept me ‘honest’ with the exercises I did at each session and encouraged me along the way. I promise, you guys, I’m going to master that balance board and when I do, ya’ll will be the first to know! lol! Overall, I had a wonderful experience and because of Michael and his therapy, assessment skills, advice, I can continue with the exercises he’s set up for me and NOT have to have surgery!! Yay! I would highly recommend this Athletico location for anyone needing physical therapy! Thanks so much Michael, Hannah, Jake and Regina! You guys ROCK!

This is a professional business. Clean & neat. The Therapist and assistants are amazing. They push for your betterment. I recommend athletico to anyone needing this treatment. Michael is wonderful and full of helpful knowledge

Michael and Vicki were fantastic! They were professional and very systematic in dealing with both my back issues as well as the therapy required for my broken arm. I am continuing to heal as a result of the stretches and therapy techniques that they provided. Would definitely recommend them to anyone requiring physical therapy.
