Ascension St. Vincent's Occupational Health Clinic - Birmingham

My appointment was at 11:30am with a request to get there 15 minutes early. I got there about 11. I wasn't called back until nearly 1:30. When the PA finished, she said that she'd put in orders for a shot then send prescriptions to my pharmacy. More than 30 minutes later the PA walked in again surprised to see me still there. She, admittedly, forgot to put in orders. I didn't leave until nearly 2:40pm. Perhaps if Ascension wouldn't make me drive 40 minutes to an urgent care center, I wouldn't have to deal with this. No one else accepts their awful insurance.

Everything went great. My first visit and the place was clean, office staff was so friendly and the nurse and Doctor Norvitski were awesome. They took the time to address my concerns and explain everything. I felt so comfortable and was treat with the utmost privacy and respect. Only thing I would like to see are more handicap in the parking deck. It was a long walk through there with a brace on my foot. Just a suggestion.

Excellent care from support personnel to Surgeons. They treated me like they REALLY cared about my care and recovery. Kept my family updated on ALL aspects of my care and cared about their comfort and wellbeing, as well as mine. The BEST OF THE BEST!!! Dr. Katie Novitski is ONE OF A KIND. 🩷🩷

Dr. Katie Novitski and her staff were awesome. Dr. Novitski took the time with me to answer all of my questions. Plus, she's very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner!

I absolutely love my doctors at St. Vincent. They are understanding and take the time needed with me.

Everyone was very nice and pleasant. The staff was very patient with me, my appointment was smooth and quick.

Logistics Health (LHI) has been trying to schedule me an appointment with this "facility" for 6 months now. Occupational health does not answer or return voicemails according to LHI. I have been trying to reach them via phone and there is no answer and the voicemail is full. I called the community manager and they have told me that they don't have any governing authority over this particular part of the St. Vincent's. I called the hospital front desk and they transfer me to the same number. I called the Lakeshore office (who actually answered) but they don't see Army Reservists and I must call downtown. Once again no additional number. I would avoid this "clinic" at all costs. If I had another option I would pay out of pocket.
