Ascend Physical Therapy

Just a quick shout out to the excellent folks at Ascend! I had a hip replacement in March and after my initial PT ended I thought I could get myself the rest of the way on my own. When I realized I couldn’t do it on my own, I found my way to Ascend and they put me on a progressive program that was highly effective in helping me get back to that 100% goal that was proving very stubborn to get to. Lisa and Patti are great and every aspect of my experience there was a total pleasure. Bonus points for proactively suggesting I’d reached a point where I truly was able to get there on my own. I was on insurance but totally appreciated the honest evaluation when they could have just recommended I stay indefinitely. Highly recommend

I worked with Lisa over a couple of months to address back and hip issues that were causing pain and impacting my mobility and quality of life. Both Lisa and Patty checked in with me at the beginning of each visit to gauge my progress and to identify areas that we could work on during that visit. The staff at ASCEND is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and professional and helped me understand why I was feeling pain as well as identifying exercises that could help increase my strength and flexibility so I would feel less pain. Lisa was easy to talk with and her instructions were clear, concise, and encouraging. I am now doing the exercises at home and they are helping a great deal. I highly recommend Ascent Physical Therapy.

I went to Ascend for PT for my rotator cuff and back issues. Lisa is great and Patti is also great to work with and they both explained what I needed to do to help my issues as they worked with the exercises I needed to do. As I also had some vertigo issues they were careful to pick the exercises that wouldn’t set that problem off. I have been to other PT places but I like the individual work given by Lisa and felt that helped me much more. They schedule well so you don’t have to wait which is a plus. I would highly recommend Ascend PT to anyone needing PT.

Ascend Therapy wonderful. After a meniscus tear I had alot of trouble walking and pain. I was recommended to Ascend and it was wonderful. I had never had PT before and was not sure if it would help. It was the best thing ever. After a few weeks with Lisa I got back to walking without the pain. It is 2 years later and I am fine. No surgery. I highly recommend Ascend in Montclair. Patty also works there at the front desk and assists Lisa. The two of them are a great team. Very kind. If I ever was in need again, I would not hesitate to go back. I have recommended Ascend to so many people. There is also parking there which is one less thing to worry about. Give it a try. They will not disappoint. I promise.

Navigating knee surgery recovery is no joke, but Lisa and Patty made it feel like a breeze. They strike a perfect balance between expertise and approachability. At my first visit two weeks after hip replacement surgery, she assessed my goals and condition and provided me with a program of exercises and therapy. Drawing from a deep well of experience, she intuitively adds the right treatments to enhance your recovery. She is self-assured, attentive, and caring. Best of all, her therapy has really worked for me. Patty does the administration, and is a capable, friendly assistant. This is a nice place to heal.
