Outstanding, knowledgeable and immense caring would be just a few of the words to describe AVRMC Physical Therapy Department in La Junta. Their expertise guided by Candace Adler as Director is and has been for a number of years for myself and my youngest son Gabriel Johnson. Gabriel began therapy at approximately age 2 until he started school many decades ago. I have utilized their services twice now for different knee replacements and could not be more pleased! This past summer with terrific assistance from Lorraine Valdez and Candace was truly incredible! Their experience and patience helped be to accomplish a wonderful expedition just a few months after my surgery! Their department and skill are truly a blessing for our small town and cannot say thank you enough!

took my boyfriend to the er for very intense shoulder pain he had an injury about a year ago and today it was inflamed and in a lot of pain waited 2 hours before seeing the doctor when he came in he asked us if we knew what an emergency room was because this didn’t look like any type of emergency to him and that it was a waste of his time and we shouldn’t have even came in was very rude to us and brushed off how my boyfriend was feeling and did not take him serious at all very terrible doctor needs to learn how to treat patients!! wouldn’t recommend the er they won’t take you serious

Can't even get Doctor offices to answer the phone during supposedly open hours, closed on Friday's, can't find office hours anywhere, if you ask what the hours are I get different hours for each one you ask. Now there is no link to the patient portal. This is the worst hospital I have ever seen in my life. They don't want to help the elderly at all. No one knows anything when you finally get someone on the phone. No Doctors to see just PA's and Nurse Practitioners. No decent doctors to go to specialty clinics anymore. Has been the filthiest hospital for years!!!!!!!

The emergency room is a joke. Nurses are extremely rude, the doc was very uncaring and unsympathetic. Waited 6 hours just for them to do blood work and no other tests. Called a nurse to my room twice and no one ever came. I’d rather drive to pueblo.

After having an MRI three months ago, I was denied an MRI today because I have a dermal face piercing which I’ve had for 8 1/2 years but today they decided that it was going to be a problem.! Which has now delayed my shoulder surgery by probably weeks.! I can’t even scheduled with the orthopedic surgeon until after my MRI.! I would never send my worst sick friend there. Very entitled staff.! I don’t like being threatened with my health care for a none doctor to have medical background when not needed. If you are looking for good medical care, I suggest driving West on 50 for 68 miles to Parkview West.! Very friendly people with quality health care..!

This place is scary. So scary that I left lying in the back of a Toyota with a broken hip headed home. No way was I going to have surgery there. The people were rude and unprofessional They looked like hillbillies. Faded jeans and nothing that resembled uniforms. The Dr. and x ray techs wore uniforms. Thats it. The guy in x ray was a nice professional guy. The Dr. had the personality of a rock. Maybe all that's not a big deal to some people, but a bunch of sloppy er workers with abad attitudes and an entire staff that's more concerned with their break times than a patient's well being tends to make me wonder why am I here and am I really in a hospital? I got home and called an ambulance to take me to Parkview. I guess it was difficult for the dr. to diagnose me properly...Maybe because the results of the x rays and the only film the Dr. showed me...was on his tiny cell phone. The simple fracture he said I had turned out to be a very serious fractured hip with 3 fractures. I went home. Called an ambulance. Went to Parkview where I received excellent and professional care.

Very pleasant experience! Dr. Stern and his nurse were great people! Sincere and compassionate. Took the time to explain everything, I even learned alot. Nothing but good things to say about them!

I have been diagnosed twice with cellulitis.I went back to the hospital because it's not clearing up. Sat in this hospital for 3 hours waiting to see the doctor. Came in told me he was calling my Ortho? Does he not know what blood test to take for a infection? How about a CBC with and without dif and a crp to show inflammation and infection? (How come I know what to run and your doctor's don't?)No culture or biopsy either. You would think that they would want to know the bacteria that I am resistant to. I waited another 2 hours, doctor never came back. After sitting for five hours I left. Proceeded to puke all over your back parking lot. Have fun cleaning that up. Go to Pueblo!
