My boyfriend and I went to the urgent care at the Arkansas Valley Family due to a recent exposure to covid and having advanced symptoms that needed medical attention. We asked specifically to see a doctor three times when we went into the receptionist. She responded with oh so you just need to be tested? I said no, I can't breathe I feel like I have pneumonia or bronchitis and need to see the doctor. She sent us to wait outside for almost two hours for our turn and then when they called us they said we were only put down to get a covid test, not see the doctor. I said that was a mistake we need to see a doctor and they said they could put us behind everyone that came in after us. I was like no that's not ok, we've been waiting almost 2 hours and that will make it another hour or 2 before we see anyone. She said sorry if you feel like you can't breathe we can give you monoclonal antibodies. I was like so you haven't tested me for covid yet, can't get me in to see a doctor for another few hours despite it being your mistake but you are going to offer me a treatment for covid that is super expensive and the country has a sorry supply of? I told her I did not trust the staff there to treat us anymore based off of their incompetence and blatant ignorance. Despite investing 2 hours waiting we canceled everything and drove to Pueblo instead. All the way we are running a fever, disoriented, chills, severe cough, and feeling like we can't breathe. That practice is terrible and I will never willingly go back.

Jenna White, NP is awesome! We had a bad experience in Pueblo with a pediatrician so we came back to La Junta. Jenna listened to our questions and concerns. She is on time or only a couple moments behind.

I've been a patient for about 3 yrs, I've never been told I'd have to make an appmnt to have my antihistamine refilled,its for my stomach at times I need it in order to eat from severe nausea, catelyn took over when the previous dr relocated, I've been denied my refill request because this dr policy is must been seen every 6 months in order to receive medication refills,im fully aware some medications yes but just to require visits for All ...people cant afford to make copays let alone keep incurring charges when I was just seen in july I have the bill in front of me.i will be forwarding this to the nursing board !
