I was a patient here. In rehab. these people r rude & short staff. Come in the room and turn off call lights….not giving me the proper breakfast and lunch for my diet…the hallways smelled like urine for weeks… I was very depressed. Thank goodness I am out and better. Don’t recommend

My Mom was at Apple during her final days. The care she received was outstanding and excellent. The staff was caring and attended to her needs. Thank you Apple!

I should kick over the sign stating the best rehab in Connecticut I was a patient in here for 2 weeks so far I have delt with poor non caring attitudes, sarcasm & criticism by staff. Laundry that is 4 days missing, clothes that were not mine, lost clothing, wrong meals that I cannot eat due to my condition, insufficient meals, never saw a Dr. only a P.A. that wasn't even on staff only helping out. Very good rehab staff, but only a few others are good here . My wife even felt insulted by staff twice when she visited me. Go to Cook Willow in Plymouth far superior than any other center's in the area. We have family there.

My mom was very ill. She was in another nursing home that was horrible but expensive and nice looking. She then went to Apple I can't say enough wonderful things . They never knew when I would show up but they were honest caring and present. My mom passed and that is sad but the nurses would come in and one gave her a kiss everyday. Mom looked forward to her visits. The college sends in cards for everyone. I know some people have a different experience and that is fine. But I knew mom would not come out of there. They took good care of her and the food was really good they do not just throw slop in front of you a heated cart with options comes around and you pick your food. It was a very pleasant atmosphere.

I really hate to talk bad about places but this place is so run down. Things you are promised in the beginning don’t happen. You are encouraged to go with their plan which isnt easy to get out of. It is definitely not a good place for long term. My mom’s exact words” This place is not all it’s cracked up to be!”

Ok I just discharged from here Sunday. I was in motorcycle accident and broke both my ankles. So I was there for therapy. Rehab department 5 stars hands down!!. Nursing staff worked dangerously short EVERYDAY and not once did I hear them complain 5 stars they were great. Housekeeping is horrible my room and bathroom would go days without cleaning until I complained. They would dump the trash and that was it. The toilet has this raised seating on it that was rusted. The privacy curtain and curtains on the windows had stains on them. Take them down wash them once a month have extras. Dietary was ok but I literally ate eggs and toast every morning. there were no other options. But the staff was really nice in dietary. Also the place is dated it could use some updates on the decor. This place has the potential to be a five-star facility if staffing, housekeeping, and dietary given the attention that is needed. If the physical therapy department wasn’t so great along with nursing staff my score would’ve been lower.

We had a sister discharged from Waterbury hospital to Apple for physical therapy. Although she had two negative covid tests this week and is fully vaccinated they have locked her in an isolation room with no family members ( also fully vaccinated ) allowed to visit for 14 days. we were never informed of this before she was moved. The staff has been rude when we call and we are requesting her to be moved to another facility. We have been waiting for the discharge papers and we were just informed that there is no doctor present until Wednesday. This is not the way to work with the public-how can there be no doctor present for days?

Old and in need of facelift. Rusty heat registers and equipment. Needs painting badly. Outside the grounds are neglected.
