Apple Rehab Mystic

Worst place ever, refused to follow hospital instructions. The staff is deplorable. The food stinks, meds I was to have got nothing, nurse call 20 to 45 minutes to answer, had to call operator to get help. And then told I should be patient, you could die and they wouldn’t even know it I will call dr tomorrow to be placed elsewhere👎👎👎

I was there thankfully less than 10 days before I got out they did absolutely nothing for me the food was horrific at best , the kitchen was inflexible with regard to dietary wants and needs I do not recommend this place although their wound care people were in my opinion very good. I've uploaded a picture of a grilled cheese sandwich you can make up your own mind the picture tells the story.

Could not be more thrilled with the service my family and I received at this facility. Our concerns were responded to immediately and professionally, and we had a direct line of communication the whole time in regards to our care plan and rehabilitation. The building itself was quite centrally located and impeccably clean. I would give the staff 10 stars if I could!

My dad was admitted here in March for 3 weeks to have PT. They violated HIPAA laws and gave out health information to his ex-wife who bullied him into leaving rehab “because he didn’t need it and needed to be home with her”. After a long battle, and transfer, he eventually made it back home with palliative care-this was short lived and in May he found himself back in the hospital. He again needed rehab and to go on hospice. I called Apple in Mystic again and they assured me they would accept the transfer, but when the hospital tried to set it up they declined the transfer and wouldn’t return my calls. My dad died two days later in an unfamiliar place and I never got to see him again or say goodbye because the only place that was able to accept him was over two hours away from me. I had planned to see him on Saturday but he died on Friday (hospice nurse thought he had about two weeks left in him but he ended up “throwing” a clot). Yes, I’m bitter about this. Atleast have the professionalism to return my calls.

Our company was hired to do work for Apple rehab in mystic. They still havent paid the invoice over two months later. Company gives you the back and forth run around pointing the finger. We reported this issue and found out that we werent the only company this happened to. Will have to take them court to get whats owed, unfortunately.

I am in the process of reporting this place to the State of Connecticut. My mother was admitted for recovery for a broken hip and ended up back in the hospital comatose from low blood sugar. Totally upset about their nursing abilities.

Clean facility, they just painted beautiful murals in one of the hallways. Friendly staff and great administrator/director of nursing. Highly recommend!

Apple Rehab is professional and kind staff. This place is amazing. They make you feel like you are family and at home. I would recommend to anyone!
