My husband was admitted here for rehab after a week long stay at the hospital. The facility is clean and its staff are very pleasant. Our experience included physical and occupational therapy, as well as interaction with nurses, aids, and physicians. Everyone worked together to facilitate my husband’s recuperation. The dining room offered several choices for each meal and the young lady, Beverly was pleasant and professional. Thank you for assisting my husband in his recovery!

This place is amazing we have had our dad in a few places and this one is by far the best… always clean, smells clean there is a staff member always close by if something is needed. When they had a covid out break we were updated weekly with a phone call letting us know that they still had positive tests and also got a call when everyone was cleared. Very amazing communication with family. Our family is finally at ease knowing he is finally in good hands. Most importantly Our dad is actually finally happy. Thank you to all the employees that work here for taking such good care of him.

This was the worst experience in care of a loved one we’ve ever experienced. My dad was left sitting in a chair wearing nothing but a diaper when we arrived one morning. People were never available to help him when he needed help and complained and were short-tempered when he would request assistance. He left with bruises and injuries that he didn’t have when he arrived. I would never allow anyone I cared about to be moved here ever again! I can’t give zero stars and would like to give negative stars.

Please don’t leave your family member here. They treated my Mom badly. She went there for broken hip rehabilitation. She left with bruised ribs and legs. She was over medicated and fell. The Charge Nurse admitted it. They promptly kicked her out telling the insurance she was rehabilitated enough to go home. That was not the case. She was heavily medicated her entire stay. She left with a UTI because no one could be bothered to take her to the restroom. She ended up in the hospital for 4 days. This is only a very brief description of the things that went on. The food is terrible she lost weight there as well. her toilet was plugged every time she used it on the few times they took her to the restroom. It was left plugged for three days. It was not cleaned after I requested it be fixed for two more days after maintenance worked on it . Unacceptable conditions and poor quality of life. The Director need to pay better attention to the whole operation.

This place is horrible! They tried to give my mother someone else's medication, didn't clean her when she had incontinence. They expected her to get up and have physical therapy when she was not clean and getting sore from said incontinence. She was different, something was off after the other meds, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. The next morning she told me someone had come in to give her oxycodone, which she had not been prescribed. They wanted her to ring the bell when she had to use the bathroom, but never showed when she did. She did have a good nurse that seemed to care, but the people running the facility need to take a look at what is being done instead of counting the Medicare payments. I could go on, but it is obvious why I give it one start...I wish it could go negative.

New review 12/28/2023 Under new ownership and staff. Staff are worse than before. Nurse refuses to take vitals, has CNA do it. CNA didn't seem to know how to take a blood pressure. My mom wasn't doing well and they had the curtain completely closed around her bed and my mom laying flat. I do not recommend this facility!

This is my second time here at AJHC and it is consistent, and to my experience, uniformly good. I've worked with CNA's, PTO/OT, and other non-medical and medical staff. They've been kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. I know I'm not the only one with needs here, but a little patience on my part, humor, and persistence makes it easier on everyone. OK, the food isn't great. I had family bring in some lithe things to nibble on. They work with me on what will work the best for me. There are always options. There are always some good parts. Yes, it's an older building. I wasn't expecting the Ritz. It's clean, and they are very careful in emptying the trash immediately. There's no "stink". The staff are great. The main reason I'm here is for antibiotics and to strengthen my legs/ balance. Everyone makes sure I'm working towards my goals.

I just want to share our experience here at Apache Junction rehab. They are the kindest people I've ever met, everyone is so attentive and sweet. There's a young gentleman named John who went above and beyond helping my father when he first got here. We also love their therapy department. Even my sister and brother-in-law, who are from out-of-state and visited dad last week, were also happy with the care that this place has been giving to our dad. I will definitely recommend this place to others needing skilled nursing care.
