Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center - Gardendale

I’d give 5-stars to Dr. Jay if he was the only component in my experience with Andrew Sports Medicine & Orthopedic, but I have to give 1-star because of the serious lack of ability of them to get back with their patients. I called several times to them, never could get ahold of anyone for an update. Dr. Jay was extremely nice and I enjoyed the visit with him. Very nice and inviting vibe. I was very hopeful they’d be able to help me out. However, in the time from seeing Dr. Jay to when they finally called me back, I was able to set an appointment for another surgeon, see them for evaluation, and set a surgery date for my needed hip replacement. I honestly felt Andrew Sports didn’t have the time for me so I moved on to someone else. I’m hurting everyday and couldn’t wait to see how long it’ll take for them to call me back. Same thing happened to my neighbor, they went there for evaluation, and never called them back. I couldn’t risk that. I pretty much feel like they made time for me to go there for the initial visit to make the easy quick first visit money. Maybe, maybe not. May never know. I’d say if you were thinking to go there, this could happen to you. If you really need something done soon, go somewhere else. Call around, be pro-active, see who can get you in. My case, St. Vincent’s got me on track impressively quickly.

Dr. JAY is the BEST! Explained everything that was understandable and professional to My condition and needs. Made it a fun visit which was refreshing, especially how nervous I was with the upcoming visit. My care was OUTSTANDING! THANK YOU Dr. Jay and Staff for an AWESOME visit.
