Our ER nurse and physician, Leigh and Dr. Griffin, took such good care of our child after he broke his wrist at school. They were thorough and made what could have a tough visit so easy for our little one and for us. Radiology was also great! We received a quick referral for a follow-up. So thankful for their attention to detail and care!

I want to give highly reviews for nurse Lydia when I arrived in the Er department on the 18th of November. As uncomfortable as I was feeling she made my stay in the Er as pleasantly as could be. When drawing blood from me I never have a good experience in it and always leave very bruised. When I requested a pillow and blanket she got me a blanket straight out of the warmer. Also the Nurse Practicener Karen Faircloth was also very nice and took time to explain to me my diagnosis and to call within a couple of days to check [n me. In all my times at being a patient at a hospital or doctor office I've never had someone call and check on me after being discharged. So Andalusia hospital will be my go to hospital if I should ever need on Thanks again, Mechelle Stewart

Used this hospital for foot surgery. Registration and preop went very well. Everyone was friendly and cooperative. Terri Frazier and Mary Elizabeth were very attentive and addressed all my concerns. Surgery was a great experience as well. Dr Poston was excellent. Andalusia is blessed to have him

I ended up having to take my 5 year old to the emergency room for severe abdominal pain. Kristie in Registration was very quick and we didn’t wait very long before we got called back. My son has non verbal autism, the nurses and Dr O’Meara were very accommodating with navigating our “world”. They got right on our treatment plan. Misty from radiology was great with our ct. I never felt like I was a burden on anyone or that they didn’t take me seriously. Being a special needs momma I am always stressed when we have an emergency and doctors and nurses being dismissive to us or not taking us seriously. Not once tonight/this morning did I ever feel this way. I wish I could remember our nurses names they deserve to be mentioned as well.

Posting for my husband. He had a heart cath done on July 30th & his nurses were Ashley, Emily, Kristen, Heidi & Fleming. Have nothing but praise for them. Ashley, Emily & Heidi were the ones I had the most interaction with. They were spot on in taking care of my husband. Dr. Price was the one doing his procedure and as always very concerned about his patient.

I would put a 5 but entire stay ruined by one person. From the time I arrived at the ER till I was discharged the staff for all but one was great. Very kind service and very attentive to what was going on. I was admitted on Tuesday and was discharged on Saturday right before 12. I was in severe pain when I got there but staff worked to eliminate as much as possible. Unfortunately on Saturday Morning at around 7 am Wendy showed up to work. It was time for my pain medication so I paged nurses desk. When Wendy came in the room I asked for pain meds that were due at 7 but was told that she just hit the floor and had 6 other patients to see. She then went into telling me why I wasn’t supposed to have the medication the Dr ordered. Instead of just walking out of the room she made sure to tell she was right bc she used to be a trauma nurse. Wendy then proceeded to read information from what I don’t know and wouldn’t stop reading even though I asked her many times. When she finally left the room, it was to page the Dr to change my medication which she did and I didn’t have any pain medication until after 9am. My concern is that either she was 100 percent right and everyone else for 4 day was completely wrong and there could be major side effects to the way medication was given or, she was 100 percent wrong. Either way, a patient is not the person to confront about medication being prescribed. I couldn’t leave fast enough after encountering her. I wound up back in the ER that night bc I left to soon so I would be around her. Other than that I would highly recommend the entire team.

I had my pacemaker replaced. My experience was very good because of the RN’s that were taking care of me. Flemming Cope RN was my nurse she is very knowledgeable and does her job well with a good attitude.
