Ancora Home Health and Hospice - Anchorage

The team at Ancora came alongside my dad and my family at a difficult time. I was impressed by the care, communication and support the office, social workers and nurses provided. My family is very thankful that they were there for my dad and all of us.

So, this is my second time dealing with Ancora. My first time was while doing live-in homecare. This time I'm the person who needed help. I was referred to Ancora for PT/OT and Nursing. My PT Jeff, is a great guy, who is very patient focused and very easy to talk to and work with. Highly knowledgeable and just all around nice guy. OT I have Tess, she is a bubbly fun lady, who also is very knowledgeable. Tess, went above and behind and found the items I needed for daily task, and got hit held for me. Then, I have Linda for my nurse. Linda is a character who can definitely put a smile on your face, even when you don't feel like it. Very patient oriented and focused. All 3 of these people have such great hearts and respect for their patients. Ancora is lucky to have them as employees.

Ancora was recommended to me when it came time for hospice services for my husband Gary. Every person I came into contact with over a wide range of hospice services were both professional and very caring, both employees and volunteers. It made the whole process endurable. However, my anchor during this time was Gary's hospice nurse Brooke. As we progressed in the process, her visits came more frequently and her compassion held us close to her heart and provided more comfort than I can truly express. Even now that he has passed, Ancora has stepped up to help guide me through the various processes needed to handle these final details.

Ancora was called in to provide hospice care for our Mom when her time came. They were kind, caring and compassionate. This unexpected event for our family was made easier by our assisted living family and the team from Ancora.

Hello. The Ancora Aftercare session was absolutely so beneficial to me during this difficult time. The information provided was thorough and Natalie Warner, my facilitator, was amazing. She was so professional and knowledgeable. I wish everyone could receive this level of after care. I can breathe a little easier knowing that if I have additional questions, they are available. I am truly blessed!

This group of health professionals for at home care is simply wonderful. Every single person who has worked with my husband has been knowledgeable and caring. Thank you Corie, Patrick, Jeff, Mariana and all the others as well.

Ancora provided very good care of my loved one and communicated everything well-from admission to daily updates. Very thorough and caring for both the patient and family.

Ancora Hospice was absolutely wonderful taking care of my mom after we found out she had stage four cancer. Nurse Melanie was compassionate and taught me a lot about the different stages she’d go through. Colleen came to bathe her twice a week. The Chaplain came by and sang and read to her. Everyone involved treated her like family. Unfortunately she passed away on Jan 9th. My only drawback to the service provided by Ancora is the doctor there has (as of today), not signed off for her death certificate. We just want to put closure to everything so we can start our healing process. I’m hoping by writing this that we will be able to get a signature so we can move on. Ancora really is a good place for your loved one!
