Do not leave your loved ones in this facility. They are ignored and neglected by the RN’s. The CNA’s try but are overwhelmed and don’t have the power to do a lot. They will leave your parents in dirty diapers and in pain because they can’t be bothered.

Day one seemed like a great place start day 2 down hill over hour to get help for wife use restroom. Three CNA cover whole wing: check in yesterday got her out of bed walker to wheel chair today they say can not get out of bed till cleared by physical therapy: she supposed to get three times a day: no clue when that happens: no pain meds since arrival nurse today said you have to ask for them:

I learned a lot from the therapists and their assistants which helped me move to home health care therapy. The CNAs gave great care without a doubt. I cannot say the same for the nursing staff; some were kind and seemed to do their job well but for the most part the nurses gave out meds. The four stars is for the CNAs but anberry gets a one star for the food which is beyond dreadful. Always cold, but while you can get it warmed up it either is just tasteless or rubbery. It does not need to be five star but it should be edible. Finally, you have a doctor assigned to you but the one assigned to me was rude and didn’t actually give any medical care even when requested.

I had the great luck to spend a couple weeks at this facility!! From the PT staff to housekeeping all the nurses and Drs everyone was so very patient kind helpful and so very professional!! Special shout out to Debbie Maria Lisa and Teshia(sp) in PT and Jackie and La Joy and all the floor staff!! I can't remember all their names. Anberry made a bad experience much more enjoyable. Thank you so much and God Bless sincerely Rebecca Graves

My family member was recently a pt at this facility for a couple weeks following a stroke. My family member was not an easy pt to handle, based on cognitive impairments from her stroke, however the staff here were very competent and patient in dealing with her. The facility is clean and the private rooms are great! The therapists at this facility are outstanding! Especially Chelsea! Her compassion , her humor, and her medical knowledge make her a HUGE asset to this company! Would definitely recommend this facility if you or a loved one need inpatient rehabilitation!

I do not recommend Anberry Transitional Care to anybody! The staff members put up a front when family is visiting showing that they care for their residents yet when visiting hours are over, they mistreat their residents. For example, there were 2 separate occasions in which my grandfather was deprived from his meals. On the first occasion, my grandfather was barely brought his food and about 2-3 minutes later, he got taken to physical therapy. The staff members did not allow him anytime to eat his food and upon his return, his food was no longer in his room although it was untouched. He stayed without eating until I arrived in the afternoon and had to talk to the staff about the situation. On the second occasion, my grandfather stated that a male staff was assisting him on eating his dinner. This staff member tried feeding him a spoon full of a cold item, however my grandfather insisted he wanted the warm option from his tray instead. The male staff that was assisting him, got upset and walked out of the room with the food tray. Once again Anberry Transitional care neglected my grandfather from eating! My grandfather also brought to our attention that all of the nurses assisting him with his medications and male staff members that assisted him were disrespectful.

Danberry rehab is one of the better facilities in Merced. It is a very clean facility, spacious and the employees are kind and caring. The administrator does not sit behind his desk he is around and about. And he's very accessible.

The only reason I am rating this 5 stars is so that others will see this. My grandmother has been to this facility more than 3 times in the last 3 years. During which time, her first stay was nice. My grandmother bought a walker with her insurance, it was a nice rollator walker. She signed paperwork stating that she had paid for it. They took it from her when she left and refused to reimburse her. The administrator refused to speak with us several times after this. During another one of her stays, she now had to start using a wheelchair, which again, her insurance paid for brand new. She was rehabilitating from a surgery and they took the legs to her wheelchair and switched them out with another old wheelchair's legs and now they don't work right. When confronted again, they denied having done it and refused to reimburse her for them. This is an issue because her insurance will only cover this assistive equipment once every few years, and rightfully so, they should last her a while, had she had all the equipment that they had paid for. On her last visit last week, she decided to check herself out AMA. But given the mental state she was in, thinking that she was going to work, which she had not worked in over 10 years, they decided to let her leave! She was clearly not of clear state of mind and neglected her as a patient. Needless to say, we will not be coming back here. Ever. We will be going to Turlock from now on. I thought this place would be better than the one in Atwater, Merced Nursing, Hylond, La Sierra, and Franciscan, given that I worked at Anberry in Atwater, La Sierra, and Merced Nursing, but it's not. Don't kid yourself guys, choose a place outside of Merced and Atwater. They may look like a nice facility, but their staff is irresponsible, they will steal your stuff, and they will neglect your friends or family members.
