Amity Physical Therapy

I had a great experience at Amity; everyone was very welcoming and professional. I felt the treatment plan I had was very thorough and I am very pleased with the results. They were also very helpful and collaborative about providing a plan/suggestions for after discharge to prevent further injuries. Everybody there was friendly and knowledgeable, overall great care provided! I would highly recommend.

I had a great experience with Amity PT in Hamden! I went in with lower back and hip pain. Everyone there, receptionists and staff, are very friendly and professional. The facilities are high-quality and clean. I worked with Lucas and Rob, who are very knowledgeable and amiable. Over a few months, my strength and flexibility improved considerably and I've had no relapses. I would go back if I ever had any issues, and I highly recommend them!

I’ve been going to Amity Physical Therapy for about 6 months and it was a great experience. I was having problems with my arm and appreciated that they knew what exercises would work. The facility is welcoming and the staff were always friendly. If I had to have therapy again I would definitely go back!! Thanks Joel and Lucas

I had a wonderful experience at Amity PT in Hamden. The receptionist were great very friendly and courteous. It’s clean and well maintained with ample parking. I came in for extreme low back pain and sciatica I couldn’t walk with the pain I experienced for long distance. I was first evaluated with Rob and he gave me home exercises the first day to start and the second day I worked on exercises when I was there and I was still taking medication to ease some of the pain. Then Zach worked with me . They listen to you and offered suggestions outside of therapy. As I was getting better with walking Zach had me reevaluated with Rob for Hip Bursitis towards the last part of rehab to be sure I was ready to be released. I had no issues with my insurance. I was approved for more visits. The most important thing that it worked!!! Rehab is over for me now and was told I could stop in anytime if I need tune up. Rob and Zach you’re the best and I can’t thank you enough along with your staff. It was a great atmosphere to see all of you working together to achieve to getting patients back to where they want to be. Again Thank you

I had a wonderful experience at Amity PT in Hamden . Joel and Luke were professional and personable. They listen to you and offered suggestions outside of the therapy . the front desk and assistants were great. It’s a state of the art facility with a nice view of Whitney Avenue. Clean and well maintained, great parking . I look forward to going to therapy, which is often not the case but the most important thing is that it worked.!! I had extreme bursitis when I came in, and I am so much better now! Rehab is over for me now, but I was told I can stop in anytime I need a tuneup. No insurance issues. I recommended this facility to a friend who has Tyler as a therapist, and she is very pleased . Positive Vibes Only 😊

Justin is such a wonderful therapist he goes on and above his call of duty.. he has my leg moving when before I couldn’t do it at all.. he really cares about his patients i would recommend he also gets five stars from me if i could give him ten stars i would he’s awesome keep up the good work justin.. ❤️

Staff was super friendly. However my experience at this facility was terrible. I was in a lot of pain and unable to walk more than a block or two. I was surprised/excited when they gave me an assessment and told me I would be running again in a few weeks. I was in treatment there for 6 months. I wasn't getting better but they never had me re-assessed, just kept me doing more of the same and eventually discharged me. A few weeks after my discharge I went to a walk-in and they realized I needed multiple surgeries. After those, and recovery at much more fastidious PT facility, I am 99% better and can work out as hard as when I was in my 20s. I'm nervous to post this as another negative poster said they got a letter threatening legal action but this is my experience and I needed to share it.

My husband had gone to Rob at Amity Physical Therapy a while ago when he developed vertigo. Rob worked with him and over a few sessions the vertigo subsided. Then my husband torn a rotator cuff and he didn't want surgery to repair it. Rob and the staff worked with him and now his shoulder is much better and he has most of his motion and strength back. We were all amazed how well he did under Rob's treatment. When I developed an injury to my spine with a disk, my husband recommended Rob and the staff at Amity Physical Therapy in Hamden. I had been going to a chiropractor for quite a while and was about as good as I was going to get until I went to Rob. Although I know I will always have this back issue, with the treatment and core strengthening exercises provided by Rob and his team, I am in less pain than I have ever been in with this condition. The receptionists and staff are all friendly and courteous but also very professional and they know their stuff! I can't thank Rob and his team enough for their exceptional service. Judy R Hamden
