Optimum Heath Physical Therapy
Even though I am a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, I do believe that the APTA has done very little to protect our profession. In New York City, Insurances has been paying $26 per session $35 a session $60 a session and some of those rates has been ongoing for 20 years. That should not be allowed and APTA should work way harder than that to stop those kind of reimbursements. If you don’t work hard, the level of care will be going down and the reputation of our profession will go down the drain. I hope you step up the game and start doing something.

I'm no longer a member. Why? No real efforts made by the APTA to address issues in declining reimbursement, increased complexity with billing issues/ Medicare policies and poor media awareness. I also advise people against joining. Thanks a lot APTA! (for nothing!)

Great investment if you use it wisely. There are tons of great resources and they do a lot to advocate for PT’s.

I absolutely adore this organization and everything it stands for. Keep in mind that you get the most bang for you buck if you actually get involved.
