Hoping things improve. Our uncle was placed there for rehab. They let him lay in bed until 11 o’clock. Talked with director of nursing and have yet to get a tour of the facility. A resident told us the code to open the door to exit. The code to enter is on the key pad. Very secure

My mother broke her hip and went to Amberwood for rehab. She got the best care. The nurses and all the staff were so good to her. The facility is beautiful inside and outside. It doesn’t smell bad like some of the others. One of the long term residents makes mom’s day. Julia Morrison is a very helpful, wonderful person that’s full of life and always a friend to us!

Very helpful transferring from hospital in Hot Springs to Amberwood. Friendly staff. Answers my questions with knowledge and kindness. Very clean. The shared patient room is unique. Food fair. Helpful Physical therapy. Overall my family member is pleased.

I was at the Amberwood health and rehab facility in Benton for approximately three months. During that time the staff were always going above, and beyond they were kind, gentle and willing to listen. The only thing that I found lacking at all was the food. However, if you spoke with the cook and asked for a grilled cheese and soup, she would make that for you and bring it to you. They have a wonderful activity Director, the Director of nursing and the administrator of the facility were all very open to answering any questions that I or my family had.

Went to see my grandmother, she had on her hoses for oxygen but they weren't connected to anything. She was left in a hallway with other older ladies, and despite being within visibility of staff, no one seemed to notice her without a tank. Her lower eyes were puffy because her CO2 was elevated due to not having her oxygen. Family went to see her on another occasion and again not hooked up to her oxygen. When Family asked, thr young lady tending to her seemed to be unaware that she needed to be on her oxygen. Better observation and communication about individual care needs to be improved.

This place looks appeasing but the care is absolutely poor ..The night shift won’t do anything .Your loved one will come in with minor issues and leave with bed sores ..You have to tell them what and how to care for your loved ones . I will be calling the state expeditiously!

I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone!!! They are always short staffed, multiple people give you different answers to the same question . You have to check on test results because they won't tell you...the food is awful and there's no diabetic menu and they always bring stuff on the tray that the paper tells them not to put on it but they don't care. I will say there are a few good people that work there(Wes is awesome). I could go on but I'll stop.

If you LOVE your LOVED one they will NOT be loved here! I had my mom here for 1 week for rehab after her Open Heart Surgery and removed her 1 week later! They do NOTHING for their patients and when you hit the button for help they may come in 10 minutes later ask you what you need and then you will not see them for 2 hours! I am so upset about the care my mom did NOT receiver here! And they did not do therapy the way they should! I feel so BAD for the residents that are here! I even kept up with the time we hit the button to ask for (3) things 1. Go to the bathroom 2. Help back in bed 3. Tylenol. (hit the button at 1:36 finally got back in bed at 2:04 did NOT receive TYLENON til 3:30! THEY knew i was VERY upset! and when we were going to have her transferred to another facility, they woke her up at 5:00 am and put her in a wheelchair. They were NOT going to let her back in bed! They didn't get her until 1:30! My dad called BEGGED & PLEADED because my mom was crying so hard! SO if you love your loved one....this is NOT the place! I see your response below but have no way of contacting you. And i did talk to a lady at the facility ALMOST EVERYDAY with with my concerns. give me your name and number and i WILL call you.
