Daren was my physical therapist starting a week after my rotator cuff surgery. He is very knowledgeable and incorporated different techniques depending on my comfort and pain levels. The post rotator cuff surgery healing process is tough and painful for the first few months (at least it was for me), however I trusted Daren's expertise and I'm glad I did! At almost 5 months post surgery I am able to graduate to a home program. With Daren's help I have been able to heal properly, start to strengthen, and I feel great. He has taught me proper form and guidance on some of my lifts to hopefully prevent something like this injury from happening again. Heidi, the receptionist, is also top-notch. She isn't just a friendly welcome when you walk in the door. She listened more than once in the beginning as I cried or voiced my frustrations about my pain or inability to do many things I was able to do before. She also made sure I was comfortable when doing post-therapy pain management treatments.

I had the best experience here. Tanya was extremely helpful in scheduling appointments even though my schedule was particularly dynamic and troublesome. John was an excellent PT with thorough answers to all my questions.

I am so bummed that Daren and Heidi have both left! Daren was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable and friendly! I have a very complicated, rare condition that he was able to help me with. He listened to my concerns and I always felt like I was in great hands! Heidi, at the front desk, was also phenomenal! She was so friendly and always made you feel like you were a priority even though she was the only one at the front desk and there were several things going on at once. I will greatly miss both of them! But wish them all the best! If they were both still there I would have given 5 stars!! Parking is always a nightmare, especially if you are on crutches.

I chose Alpine PT for my post-op physical therapy because it was accepted by my insurance and it was on my way home from work. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, as was the physical therapist I saw. The therapist, Daren, was TOO chatty and that was the reason I switched PT locations. Let me explain. Daren talked A LOT and mostly about himself. “My house was huge in Florida. It was beautifully decorated”, I drove a really nice car!”, “I have multiple degrees, including my PhD”, “I read this scholarly journal about pain and how you react to it”, “I read this scholarly journal about feeling flexible and being flexible”, “I treated a patient that experienced pain for 20 years and within 2 sessions with me he was feeling better”, “Have I told you about this scholarly journal I read?”. His constant bragging about himself got old, fast. There are numerous other ways to strike up a conversation or fill dead air with small talk. The other problem was when he talked, he would gesture with his hands.....which means his hands were not manipulating my adhesions or stretching my muscles...or utilizing my time/payment efficiently. Essentially, only about 1/3 of my appointment was used for actual physical therapy. Daren was very friendly and seemingly, well educated (just ask him, he will tell you!). As far as his skill level, I’d say he is probably one of the best out there. If you can handle the nature of the conversations and accept that only 1/3 of your time will be devoted to actual therapy because he talks a lot and with his hands....then go for it! You may just end up being a success story that he tells his future patients about because surely he can cure even 20 years of constant pain!

Daren is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He takes the time to explain not only how to exercise at home, but also explains the why behind each exercise. With that knowledge, I was able to have a good understanding of my rehabilitation program to continue it, with confidence, at home and after my release from PT.

I had been struggling with medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow) for 8 months before finally getting help from Daren Eccles. I had tried another PT (with dry needling), acupuncture, rest, and injecting my own blood and nothing was working until I started meeting with Daren. He was able to explain the injury and healing process in a way that made sense. He got me back to climbing (my main sport) right away instead of resting. With his dry needling and strengthening exercises, I am now back to climbing at near full strength again!! I would highly recommend Daren to anyone who's been struggling with an injury.

Andrea is a very talented and has deep understanding of the medical physiology of the human body. Her insight through 2 years of physical therapy proved to me she is more knowledgeable than many Drs I worked with. I consult with Andrea prior to any medical procedure or surgery. I highly recommend Andrea for consult and therapy.

Daren Eccles and staff are wonderful! So competent and friendly. Love that Alpine PT East is so close to home. My rehab has gone well...in large part due to working with Daren.
