Alleghany Memorial Hospital

I called this hospital for months after one ER visit two years ago to ensure that my debt was fully paid. I called them off and on for a year because I was still getting bills, despite being assured multiple times I had no debt when I called them. Now, suddenly, it's on my credit report as owing over $3,500. Absolutely horrific billing services. Will not, ever, be back.

We just had to use their urgent care while on vacation with our toddler. The staff was very professional and they took great care of us. Sparta is lucky to have such an advanced health care facility in town. 2 big thumbs up.

The staff can do nothing but offer pills and shots to someone in pain, and then talk about pain clinics when someone clearly does not want to live on meds but had rather have the source of the pain relieved instead. I was about to pass out from the pain I was having after being brought in by ambulance and was still made to walk back to my vehicle despite hardly being able to stand. The facility is not that clean and if not for an immediate need for some relief, temporary though it was, I would never step foot through their doors again. The primary care is not much better honestly, their offices do not even know how to submit a simple MRI order to the nearest hospital that has one. It was 2 weeks getting that and the hospital doing it just waited until the day they saw me to do the order themselves.

Came here about 1 and a half months ago through ambulance because my BP was 157/95 and my legs were so swollen they were purple and they done nothing for me except ibuprofen and the Dr came in and told me it was my weight and to go home ??? Mind you my blood pressure is always perfect I've never had an issue with it my primary says I'm very healthy I have a thyroid condition which affects my weight. So they sent me home and I was in pain with purple legs for 5 days straight I was hallucinating and couldn't think straight so I went to elkin hospital and they fixed my issue turns out my meds were not working so I needed a higher dose and they lowered my blood pressure with meds and got rid of the swelling in my legs . I will never come here again id rather die .

Can’t say enough good things about the staff. I was hospitalized for several days with pneumonia and the level of care that I received was exceptional. Beyond exceptional even. What was a scary and difficult time for me was made so much easier by the professional, efficient and caring staff. You guys saved my life. God bless you!! THANK YOU!!

Outstanding surgery! I had my tonsils removed and there was like 6 people catering to me. Nurses were great, Doctor was great, and the Anesthesiologist was very reassuring and caring. SMALL TOWN HOSPITALS WIN ALL DAY IN THE POST COVID ERA. NO LINE. NO WAIT. CONSTANT 5 STAR SERVICE. Go off the Mountain for what? I would rather stay here as long as AMH stays 5 starts all day.

Every staff member who I have encountered is very nice and helpful with a smile!! The facility is clean!

I had a recurring situation with a spider bite that required me to visit the ED Saturday morning. In short, the entire team (i.e., from the receptionist, nurses and Dr. Barefoot) was excellent, got me in and out of the ED in less than an hour, and provided a tretament plan that fixed my issue!
