Patient has heart attack and their spouse calls to cancel their own appointment because they are at the hospital with their loved one and is told that their medication cannot be renewed because they are canceling their appointment and that it “pisses” the doctor off.. so this dr puts the risk of two of his patients at risk? Find a new doctor. The staff is rude and always has been and obviously the dr doesn't care anymore.

Always feel the staff is attentive to my concerns and Dr. Herndon takes his time and explains why and how to remedy any concerns. The staff is a friendly and helpful as well.

When someone needs mental health help, they need it now. Walk ins welcome on the door and someone I love got turned away. He needs help now! Not in a few hours/days! He was seen for it before without an appointment. The longest part of that visit would be the patient filling out forms! Unprofessional and ridiculous!

It is because of this place that I am here today. I feel that he and his staff have been more than just a Doctor's Office. They have helped me change some things in my life that would not have changed without them explaining to me why they should. Great People! I am happy with my choice to start going Here.

It is unfortunate because I went to Dr. Herndon for my entire childhood and he is a great doctor. So when I moved back home after years away, I designated him my primary care physician. The first time I got sick, I was out of town so I called and they referred me to a doctor where I was. Then, I had a negative reaction to one of the medications I got and had to return to the doctor. This time, the staff from Alexandria Medical Clinic refused to write me a referral because "I am not their patient." This despite having written one days before and BC/BS assuring me that it was okay and that they could write me one. This literally resulted in me having to leave the clinic that I was at without being seen for the reaction to the medication. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed by this treatment.

One of the best dr I've been too. Helped me get.my blood sugar under control. In 2 weeks fromm high 400s to 111. Yes I have to do my part. Others was not helping and two er visits. Really nice guy and knowledgeable

Its posted on the door "walk ins welcome" but i've been turned down 3 times and he's my primary doctor
