Alaska Regional Hospital

The main entrance whacked the hell out off the muffler on my Porsche! The absolute, pathetic, incomprehensible incompetence of the decision makers at this hospital is breathtaking! To encounter a driving hazard IN the parking garage and then to realize that one phone-call could call either a paver or a sign-maker, and they leave the cliff in place that one must drive over at the main entrance and instead of fixing the cliff they post a sign about the cliff. The decision of whether to spend some money to fix the cliff or pay for a sign talking about the cliff, they actually spent money on the sign instead of fixing the cliff! These are the same incompetent people choosing how to administer your healthcare to you, which doctors to hire, and the total of your bill! Absolute stupidity! // Update. This week we avoided going into the building and took our other car. The parking lot whacked our other car with a jumble of parking barricades that are not visible from the driver’s side. Regional… CLEAN UP YOUR ACT!

So the sign outside said 6 min wait. LOL! I was there for hours! 45 mins just to be seen. They were super busy but let me tell yall that these were the nicest ER staff at any ER I have ever visited! I think I had the best nurse in Anchorage, she was just bubbly & funny & sweet & really good at her job. I got a hallway chair as my 'room' which was awkward but it wasn't like I was the only one out there. There were like 10 hallway chairs. They seemed to be efficient and cordial to each other - looked like everyone worked well together. All in all, for being there for hours, it wasn't so terrible. I was taken care of, apologized to a million times for the wait, and treated with kindness and decency. My condition wasn't as urgent as others but I was still treated as though it was. 10/10 definitely recommend

I will time and time again choose Ak Regional for giving birth, no where else compares. They make you feel like home! All nurses are just fantastic, supportive, helpful. I enjoyed every bit of my C section recovery - which is far from an easy recovery. Thank you truly!

I love it here! From phone calls, to check in time, prep time and procedures time! Everyone is always so happy and helpful! That’s why I always choose Alaska Regional for all my hospital or procedure preferences. Well done! Aloha and God bless

The visit and treatment at Nuclear Medicine was five stars. The total visit is downgraded because my appointment was mistakenly registered for Dec. 19 instead of the requested Nov. 19, necessitating a delay for us while hospital staff scurried around town for the required tracer.

Very professional and kind staff. I was asked many time’s “is there anything you need”. Everyone from checking in clerk to Nurse helping me to my ride. Wonderful.

I've had two procedures this year at Alaska Regional and both were exceptional. From check-in to discharge all staff members were friendly, caring, efficient, and very competent. I hold them in the highest regard.

Alaska Regional Hospital Trust My recent stay at Alaska Regional Hospital and there have been many in the past few years. Left me grateful for the level of care it was above and beyond Any expectations I may have had. Nurses Kalia and Jeanette among others, Answered my many calls with care and concern. Kalia Though I called many times never seem to be inconvenienced she suggested many things to combat my pain. I forgot I take restful legs at home which makes the world a difference in leg pain, but she got me creams and added things on my meds and put creams on my legs and feet got me ice packs And took time to listen to my complaints of pain and then I spilled my tea and she just wiped it up like it was nothing. The compassion and empathy she gave me left me speechless. And Jeanette made me feel comfortable and cared for Right up until discharge every other nurse I had contact with Provided the same high-level of care. I don’t have enough words to express the care I was given But I’d like to say thank you by writing this review. The third floor has an excellent nursing staff and I’m grateful for their care.
