Extremely disappointed by the customer service of this company. I will never work with them again. I had three massages at AMC in Anchorage, before the first massage I asked them to give me a quote of services based on my insurance. They told me I would just have to pay the copay. Great. I got two massages. I went in for a third massage and asked again to make sure I wouldn’t have to pay anything extra, the assured me I was covered under insurance. I made a joke and said “okay I just want to make sure because I don’t want a $500 bill to come in the mail” and the lady laughed and said “don’t worry I wouldn’t let that happen to you.” A few weeks later I get a call that I owed $550 and they had made a mistake in quoting me, they had some staffing changes and the staff that informed me of costs was new. They did me a solid and gave me the rate they charge customers instead of what they charge insurance and dropped it down to $225. Although not completely happy because shouldn’t have had to pay that balance because of their mistake in the first place, I accepted this. I made a payment of $50. The person on the phone said as long as i was making a good faith effort to pay my balance I would not be snt to collections. Approximately two weeks later, not even know time for me to get another pay check, I received a text threatening to send me to collections of my bill wasn’t paid in 30 days and that they had not heard from me. Obviously they had heard from me, I made a payment two weeks prior. I responded to the text and called the office immediately. Though somewhat friendly they informed me that none of my story was documented and that as it stands I will be sent to collections in 30 days. They are sending me the paperwork to get set up on an “official” payment plan. On four occasions their office staff were incompetent and gave me incorrect information, resulting in me having $225 bill that I would have never received services if I had know it was going to cost me so much. If they waived the $225 I would more than happily return to them and pay full price for the services. However, because of the multiple mistakes made by their staff along with the poor customer service I will not return and cannot recommend this business to any fellow Alaskans. Youre better off anywhere else or you might end up with a very high unexpected bill and no resolution

I have had an amazing time at Alaska Massage Clinic. All of the providers I have worked with are very knowledgeable, but Tammy Joe is a truly special provider. She has made a huge difference in my recovery through her trigger point release medical massage techniques. For context, I tell on the ice in March and broke my ankle in 3 places, requiring emergency surgery and an extensive recovery period. I have dealt with severe pain since and was struggling to make progress in mobility due to pain and impingement at the surgical sites. After just two sessions with Tammy Joe, I began to see marked improvement in my mobility and a decrease in pain sensitization and impairment. Now after a handful of sessions, the improvement is so clear that my physical therapist expressed surprise that I was doing so well with some of the mobility. I still have a long ways to go, but I trust Tammy Joe implicitly to help me get there. She was also so amazing at making the sessions feel safe. Since my injury was so traumatic I have shed tears during medical massage sessions while we slowly work those locations to release and heal. Cannot recommend her, and the entire staff at Alaska Massage Clinic, enough.

Poorly run business, bad massages. Sneaky hidden fees. They don't tell you how long any appointment will take. They have never once kept the time I was scheduled for. They drop appointments entirely. They claim they take insurance but then charge way more than the co-pays so they're billing their services super bizarrely. This place is a joke. And I've never once had a decent massage or adjustment, paid out of pocket or covered. Lot of hoopla for not much.

I had a prenatal massage, I feel sooo much better. The massage therapist was very kind and made sure I was comfortable. Definitely going back soon.

Went in for an introductory massage and chiropractic adjustment. Front staff were very kind and professional. The massage was okay. Certainly have had better and worse. The chiropractor was very nice, approachable, and listened to what I had to say. I look forward to the next appointment!

It was our first time to experience Alaska Massage Clinic. The people are sincere with our needs. I felt welcome. My mind is relaxed. I am grateful we found a serene place when our soul deserves peace of mind. My body was achy from working all week. The deep massage is a treat. I definitely recommend anyone to check out this place. It will rejuvenate you. My husband wants to make it a routine for our well being.

I highly recommend this massage clinic! The receptionists are so friendly and very professional. The waiting area is very inviting! They provide a Keurig and water and the furniture is so comfortable. The prices are fair but they also give you a good military discount too! My therapist is Mike... this man is incredible! He's a deep tissue therapist that really knows how to work out a knot! He's so patient and considerate to your tolerance. I've been getting weekly massages this whole month and Mike and I have made incredible progress in such a short amount of time. If you're looking for a reliable place to get a massage, look no further! If it's for pain management or luxury, Alaska Massage Clinic in anchorage will definitely take care of you.

Noah is the best massage therapist I've ever had. Both the therapists I've seen there are wonderful. Easy to schedule and friendly staff as well.
