I had a cervical disc replacement surgery with Dr. Mark Prevost II and Dr. Jonathan Harbin. They have the absolute best bed side manners. They look you in the eyes when talking and they listen. They didn’t rush, They really took their time explaining everything to me. When it was the day of surgery, I was 100% at peace and felt like I was in the best hands. Before they operated Dr. P came to my bed said grabbed my hand and asked if it was ok if he prayed with me before they got started. A Dr. Who realizes he needs Gods help to do anything spoke volumes to me and calmed me that much more. I had that peace that surpassed all understanding. I wasn’t anxious at all. One concern I had was the scar that would be left behind on my neck. I expressed my concerns and Dr. P reassured me he would do everything in his power to make sure it’s not noticeable. He did just that!! My incision is very precise in the lower crease of my neck and a very tiny line. He reassured me that in 6-12 months post op you wouldn’t even see that. Over all I am recovering well!! I have had zero complications from surgery so far. I am 2 weeks and 2 days post op. As soon as I woke up the nerve pain was 100% gone. If you have ever experienced nerve pain you know that is another level of pain. I was so thankful to wake up pain free. Pain from the actual surgery has been minimal. I have been able to take Tylenol only 🙌🏼 I am still waiting for my hand and arm to fully wake up but it’s nothing like it was. Dr. P also personally checked on me to see how I was doing post op. That says a lot about him as a person. HE CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS!! I honestly can’t say enough about Dr. Mark Prevost II, Dr. Jonathan Harbin and the staff at Alabama Back Institute in Jasper and also if you are on the fence about using Jasper Hospital let me tell you, they gave me the absolute best care!!! The staff at the hospital was so good to us. I highly recommend them!!!

Dr. Provost has been my doctor since 2019. In my opinion, not only is he a great surgeon, but he's a great person all around. Johnathan, just like Dr. Prevost, goes above and beyond to make sure you understand what's going on with your spine. The receptionists here are the best in Walker County! I can only say GREAT things about this place and every person who is a part of their staff. Good experience all around.

Dr. Mark Prevost II did a fabulous job on my Husband’s cervical neck fusion. From the beginning of our initial visit to our 6 week post op visit, we have gotten top notch care and superb professionalism from Dr. Prevost and his staff! He has checked in on both me And my husband in the weeks leading up to surgery as well as the weeks following surgery to make sure we are not having any problems or have any lingering questions. I could not have asked for a better experience from his office as well as his care toward us in the hospital/during surgery. We were very confident in choosing him as a surgeon and continue to be pleased with our decision. Huge thanks and forever gratitude to Dr. Prevost II and the Alabama Back Institute!

I am extremely grateful for Dr. Provost ll, Dr. Provost Sr. and their staff. I had disc replacement surgery for my C4-C5 and C5-C6 in August of 2023. It was the best decision I ever made! My surgery and recovery went very smoothly. I no longer have radiating pain down my left arm or numbness in my left hand. I have full range of motion in my neck now. My quality of life has improved dramatically since my surgery. Both Dr. Provost ll and Dr. Provost Sr. are caring and supportive of the patients they're treating. I will always be appreciative of the prayers they said with me before my surgery.

Dr Mark Prevost to me is the best spine Dr in the world to me he was done 2 neck surgeries and one spine surgery I recommend him and is staff is just as awesome as he is

Had lower back pain and stiatic nerve making it hard to walk. They did surgery on me and I was moving around within 2 days and zero pain.

I love the doctors and couldn’t ask for better care. They take their time with patients but my favorite would have to be Nurse Kelly. She has made our situation so much smoother and explains everything very well. She goes above and beyond. I appreciate everyone’s help!
