In March I walked into Agape for the first time, with my then 11-month old, to begin Feeding Therapy. I have never walked up to a reception desk that made me, and continues to make me feel overly welcome and like even they, know my daughter and her story. Our very first day, Sheryl, was so kind and so pleasant and has been every time since. We now do OT, PT, Speech and Feeding therapies. She has always been so helpful in telling me how appointments will go, who we would be paired with and which area to wait for each type of therapy. Moreso, when I have a question or request while at the desk, she writes it down and I get a call back within hours—sometimes before even getting home. Deserea, I had never worked with and recently went to the front desk and she was who helped me. Her first words were, “Hi, River!” (River is my daughter) and I was blown away that she knew exactly who we were. It was such a classy and inviting representation of the entire office. I could go on for DAYS about Amanda and Jenny in OT who explained what OT is to me, which I really needed as I’d never heard of it. Kristen, our PT has made River go leaps and bounds in just the several sessions we’ve already had. She’s gone from not standing to standing unsupported and taking 9 independent steps in just 5 or 6 sessions. Then, there’s Julia who is her Speech and Feeding Therapist. After being told River’s swallow study was normal by another office, Julia reviewed it and said she thought she had VPI and that her esophagus muscles were weaker than typical. Had Julia never suspected these things, I would have never found the causes in research and advocated for genetic testing. Julia is ultimately the reason we got our 22q11.2 Duplication Diagnois just after turning 1 when the average age of diagnosis is 6. All of their therapists are so smart, kind and patient. We would not be where we are in our journey without the whole team at Agape!

My son is seeing instant results. Even tho the sessions are only 30 mins after our orientation I noticed my sons willingness to start talking more and with confidence. After our first 30 min class my son used 3-4 new words. Speech therapy has been amazing and I can only imagine what the occupational therapy they have is doing for kids. I don’t know what other therapies they have but their teachers are able to get through to kids.

My daughter has been working with Miss Kelsey for her OT appointments. Miss Kelsey is kind, gentle and patient. We noticed great changes! We recommend Agape and Miss Kelsey!

Agape Therapy seriously needs to re-read their mission statement because their scheduling practices and customer service are incredibly disappointing. My 3-year-old son could no longer attend his regular Tuesday morning appointments, so we were placed on a "waitlist." This meant they called me weekly, trying to squeeze us in, and after months of this, we finally secured a Friday spot. However, after just one no-show, we were immediately removed from the schedule and put back on the waitlist. Mind you, we had attended nearly every other appointment during our almost year-long time with them, aside from one other missed session five months prior( a waitlist appointment). I was told by the owner, Amy, that I could get my son's 11 a.m. spot back if I scheduled each appointment right after the visit. I followed through, only to be told by the front desk that someone else had been scheduled in his spot. Later, I was squeezed into another time slot as a consolation. Then, at the next appointment, I was told his spot had been permanently given to another child. Desiree, in particular, has been extremely unhelpful and seems to harbor some personal resentment toward me. Her negative attitude has directly impacted my child’s access to care, which is beyond unacceptable. My child's therapist was phenomenal and truly embodied the values and mission statements listed on Agape's website, but unfortunately, the owner and front desk staff make it near impossible to even access the therapists. The staff's superiority complex is undeniable—they talk down to you, belittle you for the simplest of requests, and make something as straightforward as scheduling feel like an uphill battle. It’s a shame because the therapy provided is wonderful, but dealing with the staff has made our experience frustrating and disheartening.

Agape therapy isn’t just a place where you go through the motions of therapy with your child and then see you next time. The amount of time and love shown to get to know your kiddo and unleash their full potential while also calming my mama heart and motivating me that we can do hard things is above and beyond. The little accomplishments for us feel so big! We wouldn’t be where we are today without our PT Kristen at Agape! I truly believe that! And anyone from Agape you come across is just the nicest group of people and treat you like family! It’s such a warm and welcoming place! I’m so very thankful for our Agape family!

We have had such a great experience with Kristina as my sons physical therapist. She always engages directly with him rather than speaking to me about him as many medical professionals have with our children. She makes sure he understands the body mechanics involved in his therapy at an age appropriate level and is always very patient with him.

My child has been going here for a few years and we can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff. We have worked with Mrs Kristina, kristen, Dacia, and Grace and all are such experts in the field of pediatric therapy and love helping children. My child loves going to therapy!
