AdventHealth Sports Med & Rehab East Orlando

After months of referrals to companies that don't take my insurance, I was sent here. They do take my insurance, but the DME company my insurance works with is not one "contracted" with this provider. This is despite getting phone calls from Advent Health to satisfy the referral. I was given a different story by "Hunter" who is the therapist I was initially scheduled with. He called me as I arrived in the Underhill hospital parking lot and told me to come in to reschedule. He told me that he didn't do power chair evaluations at all so I would need to reschedule with a different therapist. In the reception room I was behind another patient also complaining that she was being rescheduled last minute supposedly due to an insurance issue. There are penalties at these offices if a patient shows up 10 minutes late, but we must endure the incompetence of "Obamacare" mega corporate medicine and HMO style "managed" care.

I have been attending to this facility for about two years. Since you walk in the treatment to evey patients is excellent. Kenny D. is one of the receptionist at the front desk that is always attentive and with a smile. She helps me scheduling my therapies appointments also calling and checking that my doctor's referrals are up to date. In general all my therapists are a Great Staff. I highly recommend this facility and their services. They have helped me tremendously. Thanks to all my therapists staff.

My physician suggested to join a rehab center. I chose the Rehab Center of AdventHealth in East Orlando on Lake Underhill Road. I was fortunate to do the therapy with an incredibly competent therapist, Solange, who made every possible effort to improve my condition over the last five months, from April to September. Solange has been extremely motivated to help me in my rehab process by applying her background knowledge and her many years of experience in this field. I want to thank Solange very much and to recommend her as a top specialist. As a side note i was impressed by the help in scheduling given by the front desk staff.

I have been with Mr John Lach for the last few months, and have been thankful for his dedication and professionalism in helping me come an extremely long way. I am able to walk better and through my physical therapy it’s made me for stronger and healthier. I believe that he is a great asset for Advent Health sports and medicine. Respectfully, Lou Alemán

My 7 month old baby was recently diagnosed with tortícollis . She had lyanne rivera as her therapist who is all around amazing . So knowledgeable with this diagnosis and friendly to work with . She was very patient and gentle during our sessions . She gave me an app that had videos of the stretches for us to do at home ,that were so effective! With just 4 weekly sessions she just cleared my baby from therapy !! My baby has full range of motion now and no head tilt . She helped her with other development milestones like reaching for toys , rolling on her belly more consistently . Amazing experience with her ! She is new to the team but they truly gained an asset .

Having been to Pelvic Floor therapy before I understand how important it is for the body to go through this type of therapy after kids (and as we age to be honest). I've had two other pelvic floor therapists at other therapy places and I was always left a little sour with other experiences (just ok not like woohoo). I so AWESOMELY fell into the hands of Solange here at AdventHealth Sports Med & Rehab and I cannot honest to goodness tell you how amazing, informative and educational she is. She has been the biggest asset in my healing and journey into getting my body specifically the pelvic floor and scar tissue healing and able to start working out again. I absolutely love coming here and look forward to my time with her and getting healed. If you are suffering from pain from birth, a c-section, pain in general from a surgery in that area or anything related to your pelvic floor I HIGHLY HIGHLY encourage you to start looking into pelvic floor therapy as it is something I FIRMLY believe ANY woman should go through as they age especially if they have had children. I can finally walk okay again, hold my littles and put them down for nap (I was in THAT much pain) and well let's be a little spicy and say it's helped in that department getting rid of that pain too. BEYOND thankful for Solange and her dedication to her career and her obvious passion. I have learned so much and am so thankful for all of her education, advice and help.

Overall it's a good place and the people are good. Good therapy. A little bit hard but that's how you get better but they're distribution of pain. Medication is awful. You make sure you call an hour in advance and sometimes they forget about you. It's the longest wait time I had was 2 hours and 15 minutes from calling and I only call when I hurt. I don't like taking pills. I don't like taking pain medicine. I am a Tylenol guy but I broke my hip but when I call I expect to be taken care of and they have forgotten about me several times. If they could fix that they would get five stars I've been here at the rehab working on my third week and I had one time when I got my pain medicine within 20 minutes. All the rest have been over an hour. Be prepared for it . I'm working with a walker now and don't let them take it away from you. They tried to take mine to give to someone else and put me in a wheelchair and that doesn't help my hip at all. So you have to be firm. Still overall all the staff has been veryi helpful and nice. I've only seen my doctor twice for 15 minutes a shot for 3 weeks and I'll supposed to see my surgeon while I was here and I haven't seen him yet so we'll see how it goes.

I had just relocated from RI and was right out of the hospital inpatient rehabilitation when I was referred to this spectacular neuro team. It is such an extraordinary team of caring and skillful team of professionals. Vala, Adam, Myrna, Marimar, Josh, Anni are all so kind, attentive, and motivating. I would recommend this team to everyone I know. I cannot thank this team enough for all they have done to help me progress and meet my goals. Amazing occupational and physical therapists!
