Most clinics or offices usually have a 15 mins grace period for late arrivals. This place does not! The therapist did not see us just cause we were a bit late. It is so difficult to get an appointment in the first place.

I have been keeping my appointments at Advanced Sports Physical Therapy during the pandemic. They were closed in the beginning of the pandemic lock down and reopened with limited appointments and number of people allowed in. It's not fully staffed yet but they are slowly calling back their senior staffs, such as the assistants (Frank and Dana). Jaime was my therapist before the pandemic so my appointments have been with Jeanie and occasionally Paul during this time. I feel safe coming here. Everyone must wear face mask, have temperature taken at the front desk by Tonya or Gabrielle and have hands sanitized before you are called in for your session. They make sure everyone is safely social distanced during the sessions. Plastic curtains are hung between machines and tables and equipments are sanitized between each use. The staffs are truly great and very supportive here!

I would give this place a zero if I could. When I called to make an appointment, I was told there was no parking for this facility, but I could find a parking spot easily on the street. When I got there, it was very hard to find a parking spot. When I finally parked my car and walked with an elderly who had fractured ankle to the address given, we couldn't find their facility. I called their office and was told there was a parking lot and their facility was half block (lt was a long block) away from the main entrance. And I was told that we had to come back at another time because we were 10 minutes late for our appointment time. And we needed to be there 20 minutes prior to the appointment. Definitely will NOT go back. I just read some of the reviews, one person mentioned he/she had to wait for a long time for the therapist and was not treated professionally maybe because he/she was an Asian. We are Asian too.

I can't say enough good things about this practice. They're a very professional group: always on time, polite front desk staff, attentive therapists, helpful therapy assistants. I had a torn ACL and reconstruction surgery, now midway through rehab. My therapist is Jeanne. She's great at motivating patients--always encouraging us to push ourselves, and always correcting our form. She loves her job and it shows.

I have been going to Advanced Sports (Union Turnpike location) for at least 25 years for a wide variety of problems: herniated disc in lower back, foot surgery, bulging discs in neck, tennis elbow, torn rotator cuff, and more. I keeping returning there because I know that the front desk people will handle my insurance correctly, and that the therapists will make an effort to get my insurance to approve all the visits I need. The therapists and their assistants are excellent. My favorite therapist is Jeannie. She seems to have eyes in the back of her head; she continually monitors all her patients to make sure we are doing our exercises correctly. She is genuinely concerned about each patient’s well-being. As for COVID precautions, Advanced Sports is very safe: they take your temperature, the facility is not crowded, the assistants clean down tables after each client, there are plenty of hand-sanitizer dispensers, and the therapists wash their hands after each patient.

I am really happy with the service and care I am getting at Advanced Sports! My own patients recommended this practice to me and I am so thankful! Annell and the front desk staff have been so helpful and always greet me with a smile. The facility is kept super clean and runs efficiently. Justin, my physical therapist, is super knowledgeable and listens to my concerns after every exercise. The two guys taking you from exercise or exercise keep everything running smooth too. Highly recommend, and thank you!

I chose it because I thought it was highly rated and people there should be nice and treat patient friendly and warmly. But it turned out I was discriminately treated by one of the therapists there, maybe I was the only Asian there. She literally spent 20 minutes with a woman next to me, chatted with her endlessly and friendly and gave her a long massage. What made me angry was she literally spending extra time with that patient even when she was done! Come on, other patients were waiting and their time was valuable! I had to wait for like 40 minutes for my turn and then I tried to be nice to her by starting to chat with her but apparently she gave me a cold shoulder and finished me off with just <5 min of massage and I didn't feel she really made much effort. I don't expect she would chat with me warmly as others but at least she should make me feel that she was treating patients in the same professional manner and show care, but in this sense I feel I was under-treated. I left the two stars because there were assistants who tried to be professional.

I’ve seen Aiysha off and on for at least ten years and followed her to the Franklin Square location. Aiysha has helped me regain use of my arm after shoulder surgery, walk again after being hit by a car, and is currently helping me regain my strength due to a medical condition. Every time I visit a doctor, they are amazed at how well I’m doing. So much so that they’ve asked for her information. Aiysha’s knowledge and proficiency come only second to her personality and general concern for the overall wellness of her clients. Every time I walk in, it's like saying hello to family. I call it the “Aiysha Experience,” where you’re not just a name on a chart.
