I discovered Dr. Handleman at the recommendation of a trusted colleague. I feel I've made an invaluable discovery in him, as a person and as a provider of way beyond "standard of care" medicine. His non-surgical approach to rehabilitating any joint in the body in need is innovative and masterful. I am happy to pay more than "standard" fees for his level of care. You get what you pay for.

Had a torn meniscus in my left knee and moderate osteoarthritis in both knees. I'm a very healthy and athletic 78 year old. The prp procedure was quick, easy, and out of more than a dozen injections in 2 or 3 minutes only one was a bit uncomfortable. I took several Tylenol in the 12 hours afterwards, and had no post procedure pain. My knees were a bit stiff and sore for a few days. Ten days later I was doing 4 mile per day hikes with walking sticks in Costa Rica with my wife and our 25 year old son. 3 months later I'm going full steam doing high impact jazz/tap/swing dancing with my wife. I expect to get back into full court basketball in another two weeks (just doing extra conditioning before resuming). My experience was great. I realize that I might benefit from another round of injections in a year or so. Got now, I'm extremely satisfied.

I had two rounds of PRP injections for lower back pain and sciatica/neuropathy. My MRI showed several herniated disc in the lower lumbar region. My surgeon recommended surgery. I decided to try a different approach, which consisted of physical therapy, Pilates and PRP. Prior to my injections I was unable to sleep more than a few hours a night and in constant pain. A year and a half later I feel much better and can sleep through the night.
