Good rehabilitation center. They offer fiscal therapy, 24 hour care Which includes 3 meals per day. They have a big lunch room with a TV and books to read. The rooms have 2 beds per room. They have a bathing area for each room. They accept Medicare and AARP insurance.

My mother spent two weeks at El Camino rehab after a spinal stroke. She had a really great experience. The therapists, the staff, and almost all of the nurses were top-notch: competent, caring, and supportive. The facility was comfortable, but the food was not so great, typical hospital fare. Highly recommend.

My mother was sent to El Camino Hospital in Mt. View and then to the rehab center in Los Gatos last week. Somewhere between the 2 facilities, she contracted COVID. When I asked if the rehab center had a COVID outbreak, the person who called to tell me my mom tested positive at their facility would not tell me if any of their patients had contracted COVID. She said it was confidential. I was not asking for specific names. Beware! Also, the social worker, Ms. James, does her job well but is not compassionate. The nurses were responsive.

Recently had a close relative discharged from here. She had brain surgery two weeks prior. As I was the emergency contact, I was primary point of contact for the discharge. Having never been through something like this, I found the El Camino staff to be informative and responsive. I was getting lots of calls from various doctor's offices. El Camino followed up with me numerous times to make sure I was prepared for everything that goes into the process. They made sure I knew what preparations I needed for her home, many things I wouldn't have thought of. They scheduled a training close to the discharge date to show me her progress and how to handle supervision of everyday movement. Her physical therapist, Philip, was great with her! He showed me what they had been working on. My relative used to do judo, and Philip brought a mat out to practice getting up in case of a fall. I thought this was a nice personal touch, it was speaking her language and going above and beyond. Training was held outside, with distancing, masks and provided sanitizer for covid19 sensitivity. The neurologist Dr. Neda and speech therapist Julia told me what to expect during recovery. This facility made a bad situation as good as possible for my family and myself. Thank you El Camino!

I went here last march after a second back surgery in 2022... Rough time for sure. I recommend El Camino hospital acute rehabilitation center with no reservations. A very efficient kind staff. The doctors were great. The director Kathy, unfortunately I can't remember her last name is so good resolving things for patients and staff.. I'm not saying between patients and staff. I watched her help staff improve on little things and I think they know how good she is. For patients. I only had one thing happen, and that was a manufacturer defect. Manufacturer said it would take 2 weeks. Kathy said don't worry I'll take care of it... She solved the problem in may a 1/2 hour.. so let's move on to the nurses and CNA s . I think I have not met a kinder more professional medical staff.. john would most of the time resolve any issue before I even asked. Wish as I melted in the ice machine.. somehow he knew before I did and boom, there he was taking care of it. There is a large staff and everyone is like that, you won't find anything better. The doctors are great and funny. I feel I owe Dr Johnson money because I told her what she was proposing for pain control wouldn't work. She said bet me.. glad I didn't.. she was so dialed in to what was going on... Needless to say.. great help and I'm doing great. Thank you all so much every pt ot. You are all the best Waz

On September 11, 2014 I suffered a stroke in the right hemisphere of my brain and I was taken to El Camino Hospital. From there I was transferred to their inpatient rehab center. I spent almost 5 weeks there before coming home and could not have been in better hands!. You instinctively know when those in charge of getting you better care about the job they are doing and making your life more than it was when you entered rehab. The Folks at this rehab center care! Yes, they will work you hard but never more than you are capable of – and so often you are not aware of your ability until shown what you can accomplish. No I don't wish to repeat this episode of my life but if I had to right with the folks at El Camino Hospital Rehab would be My Choice!

Do not choose this place. My father was at the terraces in Los Altos getting more electrical therapy that was helping his muscles work again. We were promised more electrical therapy if we moved here. Instead we received no electrical therapy now for six days. I’m furious. We were told he was guaranteed therapy yesterday instead he’s laying in bed all day today with no therapy. They can’t even provide what they tell you they will. I have notes and names starting today I’m documenting everything . Again don’t choose this one I’m very dissapointed. Terraces was a beautiful single room. This is a shared hospital room with four people sharing bathroom. Definite no

Staff seem to neglect patients in order to extend break times. During virus shutdown, facility would not allow family to visit patients by standing OUTSIDE window & talking on phone. This is ridiculous as COVID-19 cannot travel through double pane windows. It also seems curious that main number has been busy for HOURS on a Sunday (when patients have most free time to accept calls). Keep in mind, this facility probably costs between $18,000-27,000/day!
