Active Physical Therapy

Awesome experience witnessing my family member's recovery to walk normal again. The entire staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The primary therapist (Jean) was attentive and thorough in communicating his assessments and providing guidance. Facilities are very comfortable with lots of equipment for patients.

Jean Mathews, PT, DPT helped me get my life back together. I had a bad hip injury that was making me miserable, the pain was so bad I couldn't think straight. With Mathews's guidance and the aid of my trainer Lisa, I am now pain free and able to do everything I did before and then some. The staff was friendly and cheerful. A much needed boost of positivity when showing up for 7am exercises.

My experience at Active Physical Therapy was awesome. I went from being immobile to regaining my mobility back in a few weeks. Jean Mathew’s and Lisa were exceptional trainers. I don’t know what I would hav done without their help. Also, I can’t forget Katherine. She was the best. Always made sure that my appointments were scheduled timely. All the employees of this establishment should be commended for the great work they do.

This place is amazing! The staff is super friendly and welcomes everyone with kindness and take the time to listen to your needs. Jean and David worked with me the most on my treatment plan and they will make you work super hard but the end results are well worth it! My shoulder pain decreased and they got me back to feeling 100%. I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for any type of Physical Therapy!

My daughter had a wonderful experience at Active Physical Therapy! Active physical therapy helped my daughter recover from a sports related ankle injury. She loved working with the entire team (David, Jean, etc) during the recovery process. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend active physical therapy.

I had never been to physical therapy before but after a car accident, I had to go to work on my shoulder and knees. Doctors, Jean, Lisa & therapist Taylor were so professional yet easy to work with. Their instructions on the exercises were clear and had me on a routine to recovery in no time. After 9 weeks of therapy I no longer have any pain or signs of weakness in my knees or right shoulder. I strongly recommend them and their staff at the California, MD location.

Lisa was the Therapist and was excellent, she was very thorough, and was kind while working with my 86 year old mother. Catherine at the front desk had fantastic customer service.

They are very friendly and thorough with the treatment of their patients. I would suggest going to this facility if you are planning to actually heal.
