Achieve Orthopedic Rehab Institute

I have closer therapy clinics near my home. Some times you have to go a bit out of your way for the good. I have been going to Phillip for couple weeks for knees. I'm finally on the mends. I was able to walk with no knee pain in florida. If your looking to find a good place don't hesitate to call and get appointment. The staff is a big plus in making decisions of where to go. I give the therapist Phillip and the staff 10 stars.

I was hesitant to write this review but for future patients desperate to seek help, I hope this review helps you not make the same mistakes that I did. Ultimately, I did not have a positive experience at Achieve Orthopedic Rehab Institute in Burr Ridge. My therapist was almost always late to our appointments. Often I would arrive to the clinic and no one would be there (no therapist, no assistant, nor the front desk receptionist) and the lights would be off at 9:00am even though that's when my appointment started. A few times my therapist was double booked with another patient forcing one of us to go home. They pushed injections on me from the start which makes sense given that this clinic is attached to a pain clinic. The point of physical therapy is to work with someone who helps you heal naturally rather than pushing invasive, expensive, and often dangerous procedures after only a few sessions with them. Pro tip: Do your own research and be your own patient advocate. Finally, I stopped going prior to being discharged because my therapist gave me advice that ended up hurting me more and leaving me no better off than when I started. I stuck with it as long as I could because I was desperate for help and referred to this clinic by a family friend who worked with another therapist at this clinic years ago. Then, to make matters worse I received a bill six months later charging me for full sessions (even though my therapist was late to most sessions) without any coverage from my insurance when I was assured time and time again that the sessions would be covered by my insurance company. Fortunately, there's plenty of options nearby, but I would not recommend this option.

Very disappointing. There was never a plan established up front and never successfully made further progression. There billing department is a headache as well. I never finished my treatment because I felt that it was all about my money and I am still fighting over my bill.

Kendrick Summers is awesome. I'm feeling better after every visit. I highly recommend him for physical therapy for all ages. Some people just care about what they do.
