I am reviewing the pediatric speech therapy. The therapist was nice, but unfortunately the location is not set up well for therapy for kids. The room for speech therapy is tiny and is shared between two therapists divided into 2 small cubicles. The space felt crammed and my daughter was often distracted by the other therapy session a couple feet over on the other side of the cubicle. There just wasn't enough space for play therapy. My daughter unfortunately was not progressing, so we ended up switching to a speech therapist that is a bit more accommodating to kids (she has a private play room set up for kids, and just sees one at a time.) I am sure the hand rehab is probably great though.

Coleen was an amazing therapist. She immediately realized that my hand was more damaged then my orthopedist said. She referred me to a new orthopedic surgeon who properly addressed my issuez Coleen was very knowledgeable about everything, and truly cared about helping me heal.Able rehab incorporated fun activities to help heal my hand. The methods of therapy were often creative. My my son and I always felt at ease there.13/10 would recommend!

I had a bad crush injury to my hand that resulted in broken index, middle and ring fingers on my dominant hand. After my surgery, requiring pinning and five weeks of being in a splint, my ortho prescribed occupational therapy. After my splint initially came off, I was concerned that my hand may be permanently crippled. It looked bad, and my range of motion and grip strength were practically non-existent. Dr. Goodwin reassured me that, with some hard work, my hand could recover fully. She gave me a band and some resistance putty to work with, gave me instructions on exercises to do to increase my strength and flexibility and used various equipment to assist my recovery process. It's interesting how the various modalities work to help the healing process, if you think about it. She used hot paraffin wax, an ultrasound, a laser, a suction cup, and a thing that looked like a big guitar pick to work on my hand over the past few months. Coupled with doing the exercises she gave me (and this is key. You must DO the work), I am happy to report that my hand function is completely back to normal, and my grip strength is about 75% of my preinjury strength and still increasing. Dr. Goodwin was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was always very friendly and personable. There were times when I couldn't see how much of an improvement I had made between sessions, and I would feel somewhat disheartened. It can be difficult not having the use of your dominant hand when you're such an independent person. She would always reassure me that I was doing a good job and that I was making improvement. This would give me the motivation to keep working hard and to not give up on my recovery. I would recommend Able Rehab to anyone in need of occupational therapy for their hand. I can assure you; Dr. Goodwin and her staff are all great and you will be in good hands with her.
