If you have any concerns about your child’s development, it is possible the BEST choice you can make is send your child to be evaluated at ABC Pediatric Therapy. My son at 2 years old had less than 20 words and showed major developmental delays physically and behaviorally. This was so difficult for me as a new parent- not knowing what to do, or how to best support my son. At ABC, he was given one on one attention from educated, capable, and personable therapists: speech, feeding, occupational, and physical therapists. My son is now five and a half and is almost developmentally appropriate on his age milestones; we owe this to the dedication and meaningful efforts of his amazing therapists. As a parent, it was very difficult to acknowledge and accept my son’s challenges- it wasn’t something I felt equipped to address or help him through. An unspoken benefit of receiving care from an ABC therapist is the support they provide parents as navigate monitoring their child’s growth. Before every appointment, they took the care and time to seek out any updates or changes since our last visit. Afterwards, they provide a detailed summary of my son’s performance in the appointment, answering any questions, and providing insight and suggestions of how I could best support him at home. They were reassuring, understanding, professional, and warm. I know everyone’s experience is different but on my behalf, I have seen my son grow and blossom under the care of ABC Pediatric Therapy. They are SUCH an important and meaningful part of his journey and story. He would not have the successes he has today and I would lack the parenting strategies to best address his unique needs.
