I escalated a medical issue I was having and it made it to the medical group commander col f at the time and told him that we need a referral to go off base since 12 weeks of physical therapy on the clinic wasn't enough but he said something along the lines of "We don't really offer any good healthcare here in Alaska so just deal with it" which I found extremely rude and not caring to a patient. I'm honestly surprised how uncaring a medical group commander was to a patient which just proves that the air force makes anyone a colonel nowadays.

I’ve been here before and they have been decent but I came in to get a throat swap and waited in the waiting room for an hour and a half. I finally just got up and said something and they told me that the results still haven’t gotten back yet. I just left and told them to call me. This is something that should take 15 minutes. Wife went to the dentist and they kicked me out of the room even when my wife said that she wanted me in there. Not wanting to cause any problems because it’s military I just left because the last thing my wife needs is someone to make her more freaked out.. they promised her a procedure and when she went in.. they told her that they couldn’t do the procedure because they didn’t want too....even though they suggested the procedure and told her if she doesn’t get it done that her teeth were going to fall out.
To all of those giving only one star... you've obviously not been to Bassett. As far as this being a "hospital", it isn't, it's a clinic. There are several signs that clearly identify no emergency services are available. As far as treatment, I have never received more personalized and effective diabetic treatment and management as I have from this facility. I have always been able to walk right in to the lab for blood draws, the pharmacy is far faster superior to Bassett, especially if you phone your refills in ahead of time.
The pharmacy is so disappointing and careless. I had to wait an hour for ear drops. Come to find out they had just set my daughters medicine to the side and did not care. When I asked the pharmacist why and explained how upset I was, she stated at least its better than Wal-Mart. Very disrespectful. I am so upset that this is my choice and I have no other option.
If I could give less stars I would. their slogan is “best medics best care anytime anywhere” unless it’s before 8am after 5pm on the weekends and of course they get holidays off better hope youre not dying or need medical attention during that time because R.I.P you’re a goner. Calling them is even worse you get to talk to a garbage operator that is absolutey no help at all.💩
For being a hospital, this place is always "closed" for something. Dont even try to call them to schedule an appointment. "You have reached the 354th medical clinic after hours line..." its Tuesday at 12:17 PM. Might as well just web md it and print it out to bring over there. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with you unless youre missing an appendage. "Heres some 800mg ibuprophen for the pain" RIP liver, but that wont be their problem so dont worry about it.
If you value your health, go somewhere else where you will be valued and listened to. Also take time to Google Emily Hardisty Air Force and see how she was killed at the hands of these medical providers!
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Stringer. First doc I've had here that's actually read my chart and appointment notes before coming into the room. She's never made me feel rushed or like I'm being silly. I hope she stays here a long while and there are more doctors like her.
