Since having foot surgery in April, I have had 30 sessions at 1 on 1 Physical Therapy. I recommend them without hesitation. It’s a laid back yet professional atmosphere. The care I received from Monty was top notch. He listened to my tales of defeat and progress, and treated me according to my needs at that moment in time. I have been to other PT offices where you are given a round of tasks to accomplish kind of on your own, and the therapist would circle back around eventually. At 1 on 1, they stay with you for your entire session and are not distracted by other patients. It’s a wonderful way to get the care you need to heal. Absolutely, give them a call and book an appointment!

Absolutely the most welcoming, comfortable PT practice that I've had nothing but a pleasure to visit. Ryan, Monte, Alex, Katherine and the entire staff are simply unmatched! Although my treatment is nearing an end and I am 100% healed, I will miss seeing them. Highly recommended!

I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain from several injuries/surgeries. My Primary Care doctor sent me to 1 On 1 Physical Therapy because that’s where he went and then sent his wife. Ryan worked his miracles on me before and after shoulder surgery. He certainly knows PT and has provided a wonderful service to the Asheville area. Recently I was suffering from a pinched nerve. I went back to 1 on 1 and have been working with Alex. I have worked with several therapist there and they are all great. But I have really clicked with Alex. He pushes me just enough but he has gifted hands and is a great listener with a fantastic sense of humor. I drive from Hendersonville past many other providers but I cannot recommend 1 On 1 PT highly enough.

Simply the best PT. I am in my early 70s, and have had many orthopedic injuries in a sports-filled life....and thus had many experiences with PT. Ryan is the best! He and his staff of doctors of PT spend an hour 1 on 1 with each patient, providing extensive priceless information on how to heal and strengthen, wonderful hands on treatment, curative dry needling, and a friendly, invitational atmosphere. The best!

I was referred to One on One Physical therapy for bulging disc and associated issues, that were making my life impossible. When I started working with Alex a few months ago, I could hardly move my neck or my left arm and was in constant pain every day. Over the course of my time at One on One Physical Therapy, I’ve come to realize just how seriously each one of the physical therapist takes their job. They know “One on One” means you will work with a physical therapist, who is focused on you and only you, every visit. You will not ever be placed in a spot to excersize, and checked in with periodically. Alex has not only gotten my neck and arms to a place that is well beyond manageable, he also listens to my concerns and updates and takes into account everything I say while treating me. I drive close to an hour to visit One on One Physical Therapy twice per week and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If you need physical therapy I highly recommend One on One Physical Therapy to anyone who would like their physical therapy experience to be empathetic, Knowledgeable and professional. Thank you Alex!!

Excellent experience. I have been going to 1 on 1 Physical Therapy since Fall of 2023 for a lower back issue. Alex Shwahna is an excellent and very knowledgeable DPT and continues to provide new ways to improve my lower back strength and flexibility everytime I visit the office. Alex also provided hands on muscle tissue work and dry needling to round out my treatment. He has a great sense of humor which definitely helps when you are dealing with an injury. I highly recommend 1 on 1 Physical Therapy.

I highly recommend Alex at 1 on 1 PT. I sustained some major injuries after a motorcycle accident which resulted in an open book pelvic fracture, a spiral tibia fracture, a broken wrist, and a stroke that led to major unilateral deficits. Today I’m about six months out and I’m back to jogging, working full time as an ER nurse, and continue to see weekly improvement in my affected extremity. I wasn’t able to find an occupational therapist that worked well for me, so Alex has taken the time to further his education relating to therapeutic techniques that generally fall within scope of practice for occupational therapists just so he could continue helping me regain hand function. He’s a genuinely good person and an even better therapist who always strives to do what’s best for his patients. I’m so lucky to have crossed paths with him during this recovery journey.

Absolutely awesome! After experiencing pain for several months, I tried 1on1 Physical Therapy and was pleasantly surprised by the level of relief and treatment I received. It is evident that the team has a thorough understanding of their field. The staff at Dr. Ryan's office were very accommodating and made sure that I was seen consistently in order to ensure my continued progress. I highly recommend 1 on 1 Physical Therapy. Lu
